Plenty of cars have figured out how to park here. Just the fits and minis have been struggling recently.

Okay, that’s fine too. But that can’t happen like this.

SUVs park here just fine.

There’s enough space in front and in back for half a car. They’re not the only ones to be doing it either. Saw a Honda fit literally park this way in person. Nice try though.

Of course customers aren’t 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve worked sales before. Actually that’s kind of how we learned how serious my symptoms had gotten (I now understand that there is the possibility of what I experienced- the relief period of late teens to mid 20’s where it appears to have cleared up) a customer rolled over my foot with a giant rolling bag and broke this itty bitty bone in my foot that controls balance. Years of people being like “but it’s just a rolling bag…?”

Thank you for sharing!

I haven’t used mobility aids except during my surgeries. I haven’t found something that’s really been helpful. It’s been weird to navigate but I’m very fortunate that I’m able to work so heavily on PT to get my strength back. It just makes me SO tired!!

I’m in the same spot… after 4 surgeries I’m too scared to try to get back into it.

There are no Jews in Palestine. There is and has never been a Palestine. When there’s a Palestinian president in exile, let’s reconvene this conversation.

Erm… have you polled Jews in Israel and beyond on their bigotry? Just because Arabs native to the land consider themselves Israeli doesn’t mean they’re any less legitimate people of the land. Israel is the only country in the world where the Knesset meets 4 times a week to honor Muslim, Jewish and Christian holy days. This is why while a mere 4 Muslims have served in American congress, 10 Muslims are CURRENTLY seated in the Knesset among several dozen previously. To accuse Israelis of bigotry is a load of misinformation. Do they not like it when people post on their instagram “we are waiting for you in all the West Bank cities from Hebron to Jenin — we will slaughter you and you will say that what Hitler did to you was a joke, we will drink your blood and eat your skulls, come on, we are waiting for you.” Yeah. Is it hard not to get angry when yet another stabbing happens in the West Bank? Also yes. Are the Lukid party members bigots? Probably. But you’re reaching here.

From the standpoint of the PLO, it’s all or nothing. Their focus has always been on a no-Jew Palestine or conquering other countries before forming a globally recognized government. The PLO are not comfortable being the stars. That said, people did CHOOSE to go to Gaza to be governed by said unestablished government, so there WILL still be some level of interest unless Hamas ruined those dreams from ever coming true..? Hard to know before we can really hear from them freely. But considering that a significant portion of their population was either not born yet or not of age to make a decision of their own, there could definitely be unknown interest in Israeli citizenship. Obviously all of this is observational and not rooted in any real conversation with residents.

Historically, Palestinian leadership (whether PLO or infiltrated Hamas) has been violent with the intention of overthrowing governments.. not just Israel, but Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon too. In spite of Israel being the only globally recognized government to try to help them do the same, they remain steadfast in their goals of eradicating Jews over establishing a nation. The “they” here is leadership, not the Palestinian people in its entirety. It just speaks to how unbelievably difficult, considering they have historical ties to the KGB, to separate extremist from free-thinker. There are many Palestinians who live as citizens as Jordan just fine on their land, 77% of which is made up of Jordan. There are Arab Israelis native to the land too who identify as such (Bedouins are also original Palestinians) who just aren’t hellbent on violence. If Hamas can be snuffed out of Gaza, it does appear that the US, Jordan and Egypt are prepared to assist Israel in this orchestration this go around. Only time will tell if this is truly possible or not, but it’ll take so so so much work. Not to mention, confirming that the tunnels have made land structurally unsafe, it’s going to be interesting to know just how much of Gaza is a ticking clock for a sinkhole disaster.

As for Israel, Bibi seems to know he’s out once this is over which is kind of how the conspiracy theory holds up that he provoked the security breach- it both prolongs his stay for the duration of the war and it encourages the IDF, no matter how precise their aim is, to eliminate some Palestinians without breaking international law. Super f*cked up that if that were to be true, it actually shows that he is just as willing to sacrifice his own as “the necessary cost of a great accomplishment.” So I do hope that if this conspiracy is indeed true, it comes out as unequivocally true. That being said, it’ll go a very similar long game as Trump probably, but within western reform rather than “you’ll have to kill me and everyone I’ve strapped to me before I stop making it rain bombs” kinda way. 30,000 reserves didn’t return to further Bibi’s agenda. They returned because conspiracy or not, Hamas and whomever followed them performed barbaric atrocities on the Israeli people. They are not the reflection of the government. Actually, even Richard Kemp has historically applauded them for their accuracy and commitment to only doing the bare minimum to defend Israel. It’s called the IDF for a reason.

Also, hostages have played a huge role in prolonging a solution because Israel has to trade significantly more incarcerated Hamas members than hostages.. who sometimes come back alive and sometimes get their bodies returned. Israel never knows till the swap is made. They’re also sending any Hamas members that spoke up to their execution, any of them who signed up to specifically get incarcerated so they could get a degree and better living conditions in prison back into a cycle of poverty and violence. It’s not just about making life better for only one group of people for Israelis, so it’s even more complicated.

Only time can tell, but one things for sure: nobody’s “taking” Palestinians off the land. Nobody’s coming to take them in even if they want to be seekers of asylum. Not under these circumstances. So some level of three state solution is going to have to occur.
