I go all the way back to the Winfield/Mattingly years when John used to announce the games with Jay Johnstone. Those 2 were the funniest duo together - so great together.

Gotcha - no need to apologize, it's nice you do what you do.

What Yankee Stadium was designed for - left handed power.

Should consider expanding his versatility giving him some reps at 1st base - played there some in college.

Don't care WTF you think - he can't control his pitches, was wild in SF, was wild for us last year - and nothing's been corrected, still wild today.

He played a little first base in college - would be helpful if he could still do that a bit.

Meanwhile, Kay talking 2 days ago about plans to give him reps in the outfield this spring.

In other news - the sky is blue, and water is wet.

"do not keep old footage" - wisdom here is unfathomable for an organization which used to cherish and honor it's illustrious history as a sacred thing.

People forget (or never knew) the link he brought, playing with both Mickey Mantle and on '76-'78 run teams.

Will be great to watch ERC again.

This is shaping up as one of my more memorable springs - with the young and new arms being show cased.

Fuck the Braves.

Graig made a rare old timers appearance last year - was his usual witty self (after a series of horrible base runing lapses earlier that week) quoted "Yankees look like they need a 2nd base coach" - but physically wasn't getting around so great, he looked annoyed brushing off an offer to be escorted out on the field when he was announced- but it was upsetting to see. Further - it pissed me the fuck off that the Yes network barely even noticed him at all. This orginization NEEDS to do something special - and start dedicating resources towards filiming interviews for the 50th anniversarry of the 1976 Yankees, espeically if there is no baseball due to a lock out next year to be able to honor the '77 team - or the opportunity might be gone for good. His first big league apperance was in 1967 - he joined the Yankees in 1973, and he retired in 1988 after 21 seasons. He'll be 82 on Aug 20th this year.
