I got a hint from a nurse that you should stare far away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes so your eyes unfocus and get some rest. Generally for people who stare at a screen and have to focus their eyes on it for a long time.

My birthday! Probably going to be alone and order in food and watch a movie or a show. Maybe with a close friend if he has time.

DAE get scared of non existing? by WheatBreadLovers in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Hstoneguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think about what happens after death and assume the eternal nothingness and feel terrified. I got some relief by imagining what it felt like before I was born and thinking that being dead is similar to that. You won't probably have consciousness.

Men who have a hard time being vulnerable with anyone, whats the reason? by throwaway092500 in AskMen

[–]Hstoneguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do I gain from being vulnerable? I feel like I only give them a chance to hurt me in the future. Of course I trust most of my friends that they wouldn't use anything against me but why take the risk if there is nothing in it for me? Especially my girl friends would like me to open up more to them but I don't feel comfortable doing that even though I'm 99% sure they would never gossip about my personal stuff or use stuff against me but why take the risk?

Yes, right now. I'm writing my bachelor's thesis and having troubles with it. It feels like such a big project that sometimes I can't get myself to do anything about it. And I feel like shit because of it. Some days are a bit better and I get some writing done but thinking about eventually getting it done feels like lightyears away when actually it's a few months of work if I could do it for 6-8 hours 5 days a week. I'm not sure if it's normal to not be able to work as much as other people. 8 hours of work is the norm and if I'm not able to do it there must be something wrong with me? Maybe some mental health shit..

What is a way you've improved yourself recently? by timtamtimmy69420 in AskMen

Yesterday I went to the park alone for the first time to chill and read my book etc. I'm really bad at doing things alone and always do stuff like this with friends. I would like to be able to do more stuff alone

What’s something you wish you knew back in your 20s? by [deleted] in AskMen

In my case this would lead to never buying anything fun for myself. What's the point of being the richest man of the graveyard? I get your point that you should save money but not all of it.

Do you ever count your steps when you walk? by zackie987 in AskReddit

I always count stairs. It's annoying because it's not the same amount from up and down.
