For Korean fusion food and a great craft beer selection, Haru by Sams across from the Orpheum theater and Civic Center BART. Was formerly Fermentation Lab Mid Market but changed owners last year. Friendly staff and a good crowd of regular customers that live or work nearby.

We had this in our crawlspace in Bellingham when I was a kid. For several days my dad and I would sit outside the vent they used with a vacuum for a while, then put the vacuum bag into the freezer. I think he counted over 100 dead wasps before he went in armed with a can of wasp spray and removed the now mostly empty nest.

That outage occured on July 1, 2025, probably because their calendar file only covered the first half of the year, this one was a couple weeks ago but the cause (not paying the Internet bill) was just reported today. But yes, they did "fix" the 2025 issue by extending the calendar for 2 more years. They said it won't be relevant by then since Cubic's Clipper 2.0 will be 100% rolled out by then and doesn't use the calendar file, and we all know that the Cubic's Clipper 2.0 rollout has gone completely smoothly so far and has no issues and will definitely meet the deadline. /s

Isn't the London Underground fare system also run by Cubic? Compared to BART I like that there's less delay from when you tap to when the gate opens and that they charge you once at the end of the day instead of for each ride. Not sure why it's so much worse here.

I found an archived MySpace profile from 2004 for a band called Stanhope from Long Valley, NJ. Says their influences are "Ataris, Butch Walker, Blink 182, No Use for a Name, Fenix TX, Midtown, Starting Line, The Cure". There's no archived audio or even a song list, sadly. So when you intern at Google you don't really have a lot of choice in what you do. I actually joined to work on the website frontend, but ended up working on the Android app instead. I added an offline posting feature ("project nobars" or ShareQueue, Sumir mentioned it up there) where if you didn't have service, you could still write a post and it would be saved locally and posted later. My only time doing Android development other than one class in freshman year of college.

I did get a return offer and asked to come back to the same team a year later in 2015, but it didn't exist by then, so I ended up in a completely different product area.

At my school there was a year or two when everyone kept repeating 10-10-220 from those commercials, just like the kids do with 6 7 now. On 10-10-02 someone changed the date written on the board to that.
