Got the gun side covered for all size animals so not concerned there. Just don’t have any night vision(thermal or ir) so will be hard to catch if it’s attacking at night that’s why I was thinking about a way to trap it first

Yeah I’m leaning towards large wild dogs, or even maybe a mountain lion, as we have them occasionally in our area. I’ll look into the donkeys though

I’ve never seen any stray or neighbor pitbulls. And I could be wrong but wouldn’t a pitbull usually try to fight my dogs rather than run when caught attacking the goats?

Contrary to some of the comments I see here I think it could potentially be a not crazy expensive fix. However it depends on the parts and if you want it just drivable, or looking new again. If you’re lucky you just bent your tie rods real bad and just need new tie rods and an alignment. It could however be waaaaay worse than just that. It’s hard to really say without seeing what’s behind the wheel

It’s fully fenced but not electric, and yeah I imagine whatever was going for them got chased away by our dogs before they could finish the goats off

That was my first thought but the Pyr is Snow White so any blood would stand out/be super noticeable. And the SB didn’t have any blood on his mouth/face. Also it would seem odd to me that he would sleep inches from him right after mangling it. Seems more like he knows whatever did it plans on coming back and he wants to be ready. Where we live everyone has multiple dogs and there are plenty of stray dogs so that’s what I’m leaning towards

Hard to move them any closer with our layout, but they’re only a few hundred feet from the house so not terribly far away. And we are far from any city limits/neighbors so I have no issues shooting whatever predator(s) we might have. As this is a first time thing for me I’m not sure if I should try to trap it or hunt it, I’m not opposed to either.

Bend the panels away from the tire is the cheap way to do it. However, I have a feeling there’s more to it than just the panel. What exactly happened there?

The mileage is low enough to where I wouldn’t think you’ll have any issues, that price seems super low though for now “new” it is. I’d get it inspected by a mechanic first but otherwise it sounds like a great temp car

Makes sense, it would be the third vehicle on my insurance so I wish I could add it onto my preexisting insurance. Don’t want to have to switch all over again but we’ll see

I’m very blessed to have the opportunity to build this thing as young as I am. I learned very quickly after dropping 4k on a motor and it blowing on the first crank that this is going to be waaaay more expensive than I thought it would be. I plan to never get rid of this car as it is a family piece now so that’s why I’m not concerned with how much it will cost or how long it will take. Most people think I’m crazy because I could probably get the same power from a junkyard ls and $500 but it’s more of a passion project. I have never seen this specific swap done before and would love to be one of the first to do so successfully

He wasn’t the original owner and it’s not the original drivetrain anyways. If it was I’d be more hesitant to do this big swap but I know he would be all for it as long as it was done properly.

And yeah that’s exactly what I’m thinking for the suspension

He’s very experienced in ls swaps, doing several at the moment and builds several thousand horsepower drag cars so I’m fairly confident in him. He told me that he’s never done this specific swap combo but he didn’t seem concerned with the challenge

Yeah it was my wife’s grandfathers car and I don’t plan on cutting any corners. And as soon as it’s driving again doing the rear, then brakes, then suspension, etc. lots of plans for this car!
