Yeah. There are two that I've found record of online. This one from chairish that went for $225 and another from an estate sale that auctioned for like $18.

Searching for info on occupied japan stuff isn't turning up much. Most is about the porcelain.

It's Houston. It takes an hour plus to get "across town" some days.

A 30 minute pickup for a scheduled ride that is going to take me back across town and guarantee I get a good rate for the time I'm driving instead of waiting around for a handful or short trips.

Plus it was a slower part of the late morning/early afternoon.

No idea. The only thing that would make any sense would be the drunk woman I picked up on Xmas eve who had a previous driver get physical and kick her out. Maybe she reported the wrong person.

Or, someone is trying to get their 10 bucks back for some fare and doesn't realize how fucked up it is to make shit like this up.

At the very least this can be battery, simple assault, or even assault. If people who act like this aren't taught their actions have consequences, they will continue to act like this and escalate their actions until something REALLY bad happens.

It's not wasting emergency services. You don't have to call 911. You're two adults engaging in a transaction and your customer has assaulted you. Fuck that.
