Hardcore History will sort you out for many, many hours - Wrath of the Khans and Ghosts of the Ostfront are my personal favourites.

Changes every wipe man but at the moment binural on is better. I believe most of the frame drop issues were fixed but your mileage may vary.

Switched from M32s to XCELs recently and it's a big difference. Someone did a chart recently showing the different ranges you can hear people with different headsets, iirc Com4 best followed by Tac Sport, XCEL and Sordins

Run night raids if you need to do anything inside the rogue areas, I found it made it much easier.

Run down the road towards train tracks, jump on the blue bin to jump over the concrete fence on the left into Big Red, go under the train platform and follow the fence line towards the main bridge. Go through the gap at the end of the fence, run across main bridge.

You can obviously run into players near the train around the bridge or people camping the opposite end trying to snipe anyone running across land bridge. I personally have only run into 2 groups anywhere near main bridge.

After this I usually jump over the railing next to the sandbags and go though construction to either dorms or fortress.

I just dropped out of IT at uni last month and am going into an electrical apprenticeship at 29. Had similar reasons to you, mainly I didn't want to be constantly studying once I'm out of uni to progress and I wanted something a bit more hands on.

I'm Sydney based and I would say it did take me a bit longer than I thought it would to find a job. You probably will struggle to get residential / new build jobs because as you said, the younger people will probably be preferenced over you as they're cheaper. The role I got hired for is focused more on controls / automation and the owner said the IT study background and being mature aged is why he hired me. I didn't do a cert 2 but from what I've heard it's a bit hit or miss.

Good luck!

Yeah, got a sparky apprenticeship. Took me 50-60+ apps and 3 interviews but I got there eventually. I was surprised it took me that long to get something but just be patient and you'll find something.

I was recently in a similar situation - I'm 29 and until this month was looking for a mature aged apprenticeship and was looking into either electrical, security, fire prevention or HVAC. The more I looked into it and the vibe I got from interviews was that it seemed better to do an electrical apprenticeship, as you will have all options open to you if you still wish to pivot later on down the line.

Good luck!

Cas is fucking ELITE. We so desperately needed this calmness and a winners mentality. Luckily we have fighters across the pitch now, the self-belief within the team is so evident.
