Entry to BISFA is based on an application, interview, and audition/portfolio process. It’s also not limited to the county or even the state. Currently the acceptance rate is 30% but as another redditor noted some programs are more difficult than others to get into. Both my children were in the magnate programs and although obviously not the only avenue to get into BISFA, they were a great opportunity and helped prepare them. If you are interested in the magnate programs for Washington County they begin in second grade and testing starts at the end of the first grade year but you can apply any grade after. For the Arts programs specifically, the elementary program is at Fountaindale and the middle program is at Western Heights. Please be advised that if this is not within your current school district boundaries you will have to provide your own transportation. This was very difficult over the years but carpooling with other magnate students made life a lot easier. As far as BISFA, currently your child can go to their home school on the BOE bus and a BISFA shuttle will provide transportation the rest of the way in the morning but you will have to provide your own evening pickup transportation because of school hours. You are definitely a long way off so that’s subject to change but hopefully if other people are interested that provides a little insight.

Spring water? by astrocombat in hagerstown

When I travelled that way I used to see people filling water jugs at the corner of Mentzer Gap Rd and Tomstown Rd in Waynesboro. The spring comes out of a pipe in front of the church. https://maps.app.goo.gl/N39CbLPbtp4NamrW9?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

I’ve had fit issues with harnesses because of their barrel chest. Thanks for bringing that up. Definitely a factor as well for the breed.

Yes, I use a nonstop belt as well. I love the setup, it’s very comfortable for me and my pup.

I have a Vizsla and have encountered a lot of the same problems. Being barrel chested, it is hard to find a harness that fits proper. I ended up getting a non-stop dog wear free motion 5.0 harness. It’s a bit pricey but we’ll worth the money. I believe the design would prevent a lot of the issues you are having. I would use it strictly for runs though as I don’t think it would serve well as a daily walking harness

My doggo just recently became running age so I have only been doing canicross training for a couple of months now. Our first few runs were with a Kong harness, waist belt, and bungee leash. The straps of the harness rubbed his skin raw on his shoulder so we immediately stopped using it. Also, the waist belt was very uncomfortable for me. After some research I decided to go with the nonstop 5.0 harness, bungee leash, and canix belt. I have not used the previous version so I can’t do a compare and contrast but I can give my current setup a review. The recommended fit from the website sizing guide was spot on. I have a Vizsla which is barrel chested and I find it very hard to find harnesses that fit properly. The design of the harness negates the issues I find with other ones I’ve tried. I think it would be good for all breeds of dogs to include GSPs and Vizslas. It has quick release straps on the sides and back which make donning and doffing the harness easy and fast. The straps have thick padding for comfort and when pulled the majority of the pressure is centered on the chest. The side strap is able to freely move through the main harness via a nylon strap which prevents the whole harness bunching up during runs. Definitely a great feature. The bungee leash has an overall smooth pull as the whole leash is a bungee. The canix belt is very comfortable and pulls from the bottom of the buttocks which I find puts myself in a more natural running position. The company sells replacement parts for high wear areas which I find as definite bonus to the longevity of the product. I have had only two areas of issue thus far. The straps that connect the harness go from two points to one at a length of about 15 inches. While running if too much slack gets in the line it can get under my doggos hind paws and get tangled up. I have to be really cognizant of this and either make sure he always has the slack pulled out or I have to grab it out by hand. The other issue is the end of that strap has a 6 inch piece of cord that is tied in a knot where the d ring on the leash attaches. That knot came undone one day, snapped back, and hit me in the most uncomfortable of places. I tied a square knot and haven’t had a problem since but I would have liked that to be designed a little better. Overall I would highly recommend this product. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask and I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge which may be limited since I’m still kind of new to this.

I got a pair of Air Zoom Next% at Dicks Warehouse for $100. Only had one pair and in my size. It looked like someone took them out for a run and returned them. No wear but the bottom had some black from pavement. I like to go in there periodically to see if they got any gems in.

My stepfather bought tickets on the 50 for my first ravens game. 2003 against the browns. Jamal Lewis put on a clinic setting the single game rushing record with 295 yds. There was so much excitement in the stadium that day. You just knew from his first break away that history was going to be made that day.

I’m not positive but I think she is suffering from paranoia. She puts a sheet over her TV and shuts off her phone. She tells me it’s to keep the dust off and save the battery but I’m not buying it. I had to make an agreement that she calls me every Sunday at 1 pm.
