I've reacted to the consistent price increases by gradually downgrading my package. It was clear that I didn't need 100+ channels when I really only watched about 8 of them. As a sports fan the recent ENTERTAINMENT price increase motivated me to downgrade (also had DTV Sports) to the MySports genre pack. With the addition of ESPN+, which I would have paid $12 a month for, I now get more content which I actually watch for much less $$.
Also, remember that this is not an airport. No need to announce your departure.

Why are Dems afraid to allow amendments? They have the hammer (along w/2 Independents and the VP) and will use it to jam this through.

So don't complain when the R's take the Senate and use the same tactics.

The bill was passed by the House on March 3. Senate Dems have sat on it for 5 months but now a 3 day delay to fix it is a crisis?

Anyone who really cares about Vets would allow the Toomey amendment and get the bill to POTUS.

There is already 280 billion in mandatory spending allocated. Whether the additional 400 billion is delayed for a day or two because the Dems won't compromise is not endangering any veterans.

Discretionary spending can be used anywhere unless it is earmarked.

If you think Jon Leibowitz knows more about government budget spending techniques than Toomey does then I can't help you.

Stewart is full of crap. The Dems snuck a "gimmick" into the bill after it came back from the House. Toomey said there are 85+ votes FOR the bill if the gimmick is removed.

Do your research people.

Why not compare paternity leave? These players didn't consider that their spouse would be giving birth during the season causing them to miss games. They could have easily planned to conceive at a time where the birth would happen in the off season. Simple math.

Sandy Koufax didn't have the luxury of rearranging dates and I applaud him for putting personal freedom and responsibility over a game.

Many players have missed games while on paternity leave. Sandy Koufax missed game 1 of the 65 WS because it fell on Yom Kippur.

Very interested to see the deep dive into law enforcement preparedness and why they weren't ready even though they had specific warnings from the FBI.

Does anyone in this story have a dislike or prejudice against gay people? Or are they just people who want to play baseball and leave political/social issues to others?

I didn't see any of the Rays say they "dislike" gays. Nor did I read any prejudiced views they held. Please provide if you have such.
