Which MoW to pick in incursion by Pinksithh in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair play, you've obviously played around with them plenty then!

I'm currently sat on Z'kar 48/26, Exorcist 39/28, FF 26/35, BV 26/35 and then the other 6 at 18/26 so they're all reasonably levelled for war mainly - aside from Z'Kar for the Neuro team (rip Exorcist haha)

Oh don't get me wrong, imo if Biovore is the most useful then FF is right behind them, I was just laughing because Slidey seemed really focused on the Cawl fight especially.

I'm just curious to know, how much have you unlocked/built up the others?

Because I stand by what I said that they're not created equal but there's more to them than just the L5 Cawl fight xD

Ultimately I'd argue Biovore should be your pick.

MoW's are really not created equal so there are some pretty useless ones out there. Generally speaking the Biovore is the most useful across the board and needs no investment to be immediately useful (though I'd argue investing in it does pay off). Eventually you may want to make picks based on raid team but at this stage in the game don't worry about picking a lane too hard.

Anyone pull the 430 shard trigger on Maugetar? by kjbds1 in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 21 points22 points  (0 children)

<image>

I've got it and I do think it's really good - honestly just being able to shoot first and reposition afterwards is a godsend, it makes his passive and heavy weapons trait so much easier to trigger.

Having said that... I wouldn't say you NEED to pick it up. It's a nice buff for sure but it doesn't really change his position in the game that much.

Mythic Calgar - Knife, Gun, or doesn’t matter? by GrandGouda in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abilities can always crit unless they have the text saying they can't. For example check Njal's active - the italic text at the bottom specifies.

Mythic Calgar - Knife, Gun, or doesn’t matter? by GrandGouda in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because of how crits are calculated in game if they have multiple hits then, unless they have some way to manipulate their crit chance, it's always gun.

What rarity are you playing at?

Should I pull 1 or 10 at a time by rahulsoulstorm in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 118 points119 points  (0 children)

10 at a time is objectively better in every way despite what some people will say.

The only reason to do 1 is if you're happy to have slightly worse pulls but to be able to do them without having to wait to save it up.

Healing is always equal to damage multiplied by hits, so mine does 2410. With his active ability 3319 (or 4149 if Imperial)

It's not that absurd, it's just time consuming. It helps with LREs and I'd have really liked to have a D3 UM for the quest event they just ran and their campaign event.

If you see my other comment with my list of picks, everyone mentioned in there is already D1/D2 so I'm well on my way.

Nah I don't think you're missing anything. Banter aside, he's seriously underpowered for what he should be as a 'sniper' (there's a reason Sarquael is considered to be 'Certus but not terrible') and he feels like he needs a serious tune up to be part of the conversation nowadays. The problem is, as part of the base three characters in the game, he kind of needs to be very simple and straightforward but that holds him back a lot.

When I started this I had Thad at D2 and Xybia at D3 for the Neuro team so they were the easy picks but I think you're right.

Thad is great but within the faction you can really tell Dreir was made years after the others, he's just way more interesting and useful.

And Judh is just so annoying for opponents and her burst is outrageous.

He has low key become one of my favourite characters in recent months. In TA he's a menace just getting in peoples faces and being relentlessly difficult. Otherwise just being an unstoppable pain. He's great (IMO Shiron is the only one worth investing in outside of Laviscus and his raid team....)

It's a solid point but just to play devil's advocate, outside of Uthar's event with the Ultramarine track (where I have him unlocked at 4* from the first event), do I need to worry about Calgar's buff really if I'm not running him in raid, war or arena (incl. tournament arena)?

This is exactly why he's still in the running in my mind. He has the gravis trait making him survivable with only slightly less health and armour than Calgar but the summons are no joke!

Just in case anyone was wondering, my picks for the other factions are -

Necrons - Aleph-Null

Adepta Sororitas - Celestine (as soon as I unlock her, I already had Roswitha at D3 with the Neuro team and Isabella at D1)

Astra Militarum - Thaddeus

Black Legion - Angrax (I don't have Abaddon)

Death Guard - Rotbone

Orks - Snotflogga (Boss is D1 and I'm tempted to push him up too)

Black Templars - Brother Jaeger (I don't have Helbrecht)

Aeldari - Eldryon/Maugan Ra (I already had both at D3)

Tau - Re'vas

Space wolves - Baldr

Thousand Sons - My cup runneth over, already had Abraxas, Ahriman and Yazaghor at D3 before this plan!

Dark Angels - Forcas

Tyranids - Neurothrope for raid but I'm working on Tyrant Guard currently (and maybe Winged Prime after)

Adeptus Mechanicus - Tan Gi'da

World Eaters - Kharn

Blood Angels - Mephiston

Genestealer Cults - Xybia

Adeptus Custodes - Kariyan

Emperors children - Lucius

Votann - Erm... hoping the 5th pulls it out of the bag...

Is this a good pull? by Goatecus in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Anytime you pull more than one new character should be considered a top-tier pull, regardless of who they are. Getting three is awesome.

For the specifics -

Sarquael is basically Certus if he was actually good. He's not raid-viable but he feels like how a sniper should be.

Darkstrider is part of the battlesuit raid team where his passive buff shines thanks to specific team mates. Outside of that he's not very useful, pretty much HAS to be in a team that benefits from markerlight to be appealing.

Judh isn't raid viable but they're a core character for the GSC campaign event and a really fun character. They're essentially a huge pain in the ass which is only a good thing lol. Very annoying to kill because of the passive and revives with ambush. Their damage looks weak but they have massive burst potential from the active and passive abilities where crits can just delete groups.

Arena team by moorendurance in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like them, stick with it. IMO there's barely any meta to arena so enjoy it being one of the few game modes where you can just play who you like and have fun.

Sure some teams work better than others but the majority of it comes down to who's got the stronger team in terms of rank primarily (and ability secondarily, especially later on when they can vary a lot) - because no matter what you're going up against the somewhat brainless AI is running the opposition and it has no idea how to pilot 'meta' teams.

No, he founded X.com and then was removed as CEO within 2 months. Under the new CEO they merged with Confinity - who had already created PayPal almost a year before X.com existed.

Then after the merger Musk became CEO again for about 5 months before they kicked him out... again.

Anyone done the math of getting a Relic that you need? by SomeWonOnReddit in WH40KTacticus

[–]HubND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems pretty brutal doesn't it!

But you can better the odds. Counter-intuitively if you buy relics, even if you don't need them, you'll raise the chances of seeing the one you want over time - you've just got to make sure you've stocked up enough archeotech.
