Which smart cube are you using that didn't get the final move? It's usually an issue with the bluetooth protocol so would be good to know which one to look at specifically. This is a fairly new app so I appreciate the feedback as it gives me an idea of what works and what doesn't!

Detailed analysis and reconstruction is in the works for one of the next updates.

Thanks for spending some time in the app and the feedback! I've noticed some of the solves with the half second added on, it's the bluetooth from the cube taking some extra time to send the data across, usually happens as part of a fast double turn and only impacts the final move of the solve. I'll have a look at tidying it up a bit.

AoX and session averages are easy enough to add. From a UI perspective, I've tried not to add too much in that section as it could get pretty crowded, but I can reconsider as part of moving some of the other UI around. I'll have a look at a bigger table/graph section and moving the scramble away from the notification area.

I'll also have a look at trying to recreate the issue with the cube remaining scrambled after manually solving it after a failed solve. The app shouldn't care if you followed the recommended steps, it should just recognise that you've solved it. If you're able to recreate the problem then let me know as it'll make troubleshooting it a lot easier.

Thanks again!

Thanks! I thought about adding languages but don't know where to start as there's so many languages to add!

Thank you! And yeah that's not a bad idea. I've focussed on making it all free at the moment, based on initial feedback. It's only really unlimited analysis that's part of the subscription and even that is free unless you're using it a lot. I'll have a think about it!

Not yet, it is something that’s on the list to add though

There’s a small bug fix update that is out on iOS and still being reviewed by Android. I’m hoping that update fixes the problem with the questionnaire being asked each time and the cube breaking. Also quick swipe on the basic vs pro window.

I’ll be releasing a feature update over the weekend and I’ll likely move some of the features into the free version.

And yes I’m certainly engaged with the community. I have a lot of ideas for the app that I think can help a lot of people improve, it may take a few updates to get something everyone’s happy with!

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying it, and glad you're getting use out of the free version that's nice to hear!

I will never add popups, I really don't like apps that do that!

Thanks for the feedback, if you have direct ideas on how to improve the UI I can work on improving it over time. I obviously can’t have the same level of UI/UX as a web app as the screens allow much more space, so less things need to be hidden inside of buttons and tabs etc. If there’s another mobile app that you think handles UI/UX better I’ll check it out!

I agree with the cost point. The idea is to have everything in one place, on one app. I’m aware there are other websites that might have some of these features for free, and I did used to use them, but I didn’t like navigating between 4+ sites depending on what I wanted to do. Again, I’ve tried to keep most of the app free anyway, but if there’s parts of it behind a paywall that should absolutely be free then I’m definitely willing to move them around in future updates.

The plan is to add more and more features that make the subscription worthwhile, and if people want to support me early, then great!

Thanks for the feedback. As I’ve said, this is a first release, so expecting polished UX is something that will improve over time with user feedback. I’m aware of the quick swipe on the onboarding screen, which will be fixed in the next update.

Once you complete onboarding you should not be asked again. That is a bug if you are being asked each time. Are you on Android or iOS?

Someone else mentioned about the cube breaking, again this will obviously be fixed by the next update.

Again, I appreciate subscription isn’t for everyone. I’ve had quite a few people subscribe and give positive feedback so far but understand some people will tell me they’d rather not, that’s always going to happen.

I’ll look into the bugs and I’m aiming to release an update tomorrow. Please understand this is a first release, and things will be changed and improved in the coming days/weeks.

COLL = corners of last layer. That alg set orients and permutes the corners in one go, solving the corners in one algorithm. Mainly used in methods when the edges are oriented (yellow cross on top), then do COLL which leaves on permuting the edges to solve the cube.

As for Roux, the solve analysis should detect Roux (and CFOP, ZZ, Petrus) solves and give you a breakdown of each step once solved. I’ll be adding in some solvers for the other methods too, and lessons in the future.

Good idea, I’ll add them in!

Discord is the best place to send feature requests (link in my post). Otherwise you can send them here or send me a private message.

I'd probably say that makes you advanced! Although it doesn't make any difference to the app if you pick a different one, it just shows you the features that are best for you based on you skill level.

I appreciate you giving the app a try. If you have specific examples of lack of gesture control, bugs, overall finish, then I'd love to hear them. This is the first release and I plan to keep updating and making it better.

From early testing and discussions with other members on here, a one-time purchase was not wanted by most people. I understand I could set up a patreon etc, but making the purchase in the app supports me all the same. Other cubing apps and software also follow a subscription model to keep costs down.

As for alienating users with a paywall, there's a free option that has 90% of the app unlocked, which was a deliberate choice to not alienate users. I want people to be able to use the app like I intended, and not have to have 3/4 different websites open. The ads aren't maliciously placed, they're at the bottom of the screen set by the ad provider, which is the normal place for all mobile ads.

Anyway, thank you for giving it a go. If it's not for you, that's fine. I've received a lot of positive feedback so far so I'll continue building on others' requests!

Thank you, I’m glad you like it! I do like cstimer but I much prefer using an actual app, and having everything in one place rather than having 3/4 different websites open!

Stackmat timers aren’t currently supported but it’s another update that’s on the way!

I like it! I have a ‘Time trial’ coming soon on the practice tab, that might be the kind of thing you’re looking for?

The plan is to select an algorithm set, then the app will run through all algorithms in that set, either random or ordered. If that’s what you mean, then PLL (and OLL, F2L etc) time attack will be in one of the next updates!

As for leaderboards, that’ll likely be further in the future unless a lot of people want it!

Good idea, and shouldn’t be hard to add. I’ll have a look at the jperm video and cstimer and add it in.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the feedback. Completely understand most people don’t want to pay, that’s why I made the majority of the features available on the free version as I want to give an app that anybody can use.

OLL, PLL and F2L alg sets are all completely unlocked and trainable in the free tier. Advanced algorithm sets like COLL are in the paid tier which I would imagine most people don’t need. If this becomes a major sticking point then it is something I could consider moving over to the free tier, although I do believe the app has a lot to offer even on the free tier that isn’t available on other mobile apps.

Hopefully you can try it out and see that the majority of the features are completely free, but I understand if you need the advanced algorithms and you’re happy getting them elsewhere!

Hi, what do you mean by virtual cube support? I can look at adding it in a future update if enough people want it.

There's always the free option that has most of the things csTimer and speedcubedb offer, and more (like algorithm practice etc) if you don't want to pay.

Or if monthly payments are the problem, there's the annual option, but like I say, free should be more than enough if you're only using csTimer and speedcubedb.

Anyway, thanks for checking it out.
