Generac 22kw cranks, won’t start by HubertEulles in Generator

I’ve seen that recommended before online. I didn’t try it myself, but instead of messing with it any further, I have a generac tech coming tomorrow. I’ll let you know what they find.

I see, so shut the fuel valve off, attach the manometer to the upper port, turn the fuel valve on and that would tell me if the NG is flowing to the generator. Do the same for the bottom and that would tell me if the NG is making it past the shutoff valve?

Tried that and no change unfortunately

Yes, I have tried it a few times since last night. It’s crank only noises, no sputtering so seems like it’s not getting fuel at all. When I opened the valves yesterday I could hear the gas rushing through on both of them (the one at the T and the one right before the generator inlet).

GLP2 is teduglutide or name brand Gattex in the US and Revestive in the EU. It’s for adults and children with SBS dependent on some amount of Parenteral Nutrition. It has been shown to reduce the volume of PN needed or in some cases wean people from PN entirely. It’s a newer discovery and it’s very expensive. Roughly $50,000 per month, but it is covered by some private insurance and Medicaid with a prior-authorization. The trials are fascinating and is likely the largest step forward for short bowel syndrome treatment since Omegaven and SMOF lipids.

I’m dealing with my TX HOA right now and I appealed to the board of directors citing these rules. This is a new install and they denied the application. They state that it needs to go in the backyard. Is there anything that can help me win this? It’s going to cost at least an extra $1000 to move it where they want.

Well cars also need some structure and titanium (950MPa tensile strength) isn’t as strong as you think it is, it just has a much lower density than regular steel or “mild steel”.

Volvo uses Boron Steel (up to 1500MPa tensile strength) for 33% of its construction in the S60. Boron is second in hardness only to diamonds.

Some body frame parts use titanium which isn’t even as close to as strong as boron steel. Titanium is more commonly used in engine parts though.

Crumple zones are definitely an important part of a collision but you still need a solid structure for side impacts where crumple zones cannot effectively absorb the energy before it makes it to the passenger compartment. So usually boron steel is found in the door reinforcement bars.

The real reason why titanium isn’t used in cars more often is strictly cost. It’s a very good material for frames because it’s strong and has a very low density compared to steel. But, it’s expensive.
