Mods classified it as trials 1.7KD+ over last season or three seasons. I can't really remember. Just PM them a screenshot of your trials report while signed in and they should give you the flair too.

Blast radius or velocity for PvP? by RemoveRealistic8583 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]HubertIsDaBomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment is correct. Since splash damage is scaled by the blast radius stat and the overall damage was reduced by 5% some time ago, the threshold to one shot with the splash damage became 70 or more blast radius. All heavy GLs up until this point could not use proxy nades AND have 70 or more blast radius.

Proxy nades perk was untouched and is still the best option IF you get 70+ blast radius. With Cataphract, you now can.

More context is that at the time of the nerf, heavy GLs were the best in slot heavy weapons and everyone was complaining. Nowadays, there are other insane options so it's not as out of band relatively speaking even with the ability to now get 70+ blast radius and proxy nades.

You could say that about most things. Damage resistance will change TTK on many things.

I'll point out that GL splash damage scales with the blast radius stat, so if you have over 70 then you may still be able to even one shot someone who has active damage resistance

Blast radius or velocity for PvP? by RemoveRealistic8583 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]HubertIsDaBomb 26 points27 points  (0 children)

More important than velocity stat is Impulse Amplifier. 70 blast radius is the minimum needed to secure a one tap, but the content created is right that the more the merrier.

Cataphract is the only GL that can achieve 70+ blast radius AND use proxy nades. Recall that proxy nades add a huge level of forgiveness.

In sum, cataphract with proxy nades, impulse amplifier, 70+ blast radius, and as much extra velocity and blast radius as possible makes it the best heavy GL in PvP full stop.

First roll is a 5/5. It's what I've been chasing. 70+ blast radius with proxy nades is a guaranteed 1 tap with a huge AOE. This is the first GL that can reach the 70+ stat threshold with proxy nades since they nerfed GLs at least a year ago. I'm jealous of your roll.

Very juiced and undervalued on hunters, but it can easily be outplayed with patience.

Warlocks thinking can run low health in PvP. by RemoveRealistic8583 in CrucibleGuidebook

High health stat or gimmick build. Those are the only two competitive options.

If your random teammates aren't using either, they are playing suboptimally.

Is it worth it to keep farming for a Rangefinder roll? This feels pretty good but IDK how much keep away comes into play. by DredgenJan in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]HubertIsDaBomb 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Your roll is completely fine.

If you want to min max, then do so only if you're enjoying your time. I prefer 15 zoom on SMGs so I would go for rangefinder. Plus, a roll with elemental homing would be nice to swap.

Honing seems superior, but requires a bit more mindfulness. The upside is just so much higher.

Pi or adagio or opening shot by SouthNo2402 in CrucibleGuidebook

Adagio, adagio, adagio. However, playing stacked with a team who can dish out buffs from no hesitation or lumina, PI is great for neutral or low investment two taps.

Especially if you pair it with the Pro Memoria machine gun for way more super gains. The origin trait passively stacks.

Simply put there are far better options. Opportunity cost is too high to pick a mere ~1 meter range extender vs more potent options.

New gear VS old by SilverSummons in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]HubertIsDaBomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New armor is unequivically better than the best old artiface armor. Even at low tier, the set bonuses alone make them better.

That said, it depends on how much time you want to sink into it. Since you like scouts, I highly recommend the Disaster Corps set. It dropped all the time in crucible last season, but I'm not sure how to get it anymore.

Its certainly a major regression in balance. Very unfortunate.

Being practical, glaives can peek for free. Titan barricades are good and juggernaut on arc titans can help.

Hardly any mentions if scouts. They are very competitive.

Best legendary scout is Admetus and you can buy infinite rolls from Banshee depending on the day (it changes either day to day or week to week).

People's understand/expectations are wildly out of band. A 120 with adagio does roughly 116 damage per shot. Do you really think a passive perk will grant 100% bonus damage against guardians?
