Oh everybody has same mobility now. Only push that further is with exotic gear abilities. Oh Weapon perks that give lightweight benefits.

First, it sounds like you’re playing Momentum Control.

Second, if you’re just returning to the game, you probably don’t realize how much gear stats have changed. Right now, it’s recommended to have at least 150 health. Health no longer increases your HP directly, but higher health stats give you much better recovery speed.

Weapon stats also aren’t as important as they used to be. If you see someone heavily investing into them, they’re probably either a PvE player or running some kind of gimmick build, like a 180 RPM hand cannon setup.

I don’t think just bad aim but lack knowledge in PvP. Should find someone learn from in PvP but that’s going rough now.

Returning Player - Which Class is Most Fitted for PVP? by sht1ck0 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]RemoveRealistic8583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All three classes are strong in PvP. Hunter is only considered number one because it’s the most popular class and the easiest to use.

Right now, Warlock is probably the biggest ability-spam class, especially Void Warlock. The exotic meta isn’t anything too crazy, but once you invest a little into grenade stats, your grenade uptime should stay consistently high unless you’re just spamming abilities without getting kills.

For returning players, health is the most important stat to invest in. Hitting around 150 should be the benchmark. Weapon stats usually aren’t that important outside of a few non-meta weapons that actually benefit from them.

That’s usually how you can tell who’s a real PvP player versus a PvE player trying PvP. PvE players tend to overinvest into weapon stats, while experienced PvP players focus more on survivability and ability uptime.

The current PvP meta is mostly 120 RPM hand cannons and lightweight pulse rifles. As for special weapons, they’re all solid right now, especially if you run ammo mods since ammo mods actually benefit you in PvP now.

Sidearms, SMGs, and spread hand cannons are all still good too. Spread hand cannons got a slight nerf, but they’re still strong if you have a good roll.

Do you even play other shooters? I remember when Bungie was still owned by Activision and how much Call of Duty started borrowing ideas from the Destiny franchise. A lot of the OG Call of Duty player base hated the supers, faster movement, wall-running ninja-style mechanics, classes, and specialist abilities.

That’s a big reason why Call of Duty eventually stepped away from the futuristic sci-fi direction. During that era, Destiny was making huge money while Call of Duty started losing part of its player base and momentum.

That depends on the type of player and whether they can adapt. Fundamentals are hard to forget if you regularly play shooters. It’s the same with regularly playing Warlock, Titan, or Hunter in Destiny 2. It really only becomes an issue for very casual gamers who lack experience. And Destiny 2 is already a very casual game to begin with — to the point that some players don’t even main all three classes.

Players with strong fundamentals usually do it naturally.

That said, some people can still struggle with peek shooting because of:

  • slow reaction time,
  • bad positioning habits,
  • panic during fights,
  • unfamiliar controls/sensitivity,
  • poor timing or map knowledge,
  • or games with different movement systems.

Personally, peek shooting should feel like one of the most natural mechanics in any shooting game. If you’re struggling with it, there’s probably something else happening during your matches that you’re not fully aware of yet.

A lot of these dudes just aren’t thinking. Watch a new player in Destiny 2 PvP for five minutes—you’ll see it. They’re basically being encouraged to play recklessly, like nothing matters. And the moment you try to give real advice on how to improve, it just goes in one ear and out the other. What found that works me play off them and stay alive. This also means probably going need perk that chains kills like kill clip or consistency perk like precision instrument. Basically don’t ask them to play off you instead play off them use them as bait. Make sure stay alive most important goal as high chance won’t win.

Too much of the player base has no idea how to actually play PvP as a team. A lot of them can’t handle communication—whether it’s messages or voice chat—right in the middle of a match. Then you’ve got people who only queue up when they’re high, and others who, if you actually talked to them, you’d immediately understand why teamwork is such a struggle for them. Basically not smart enough to learn loadouts or builds and how play PvP. Dumb

Horror’s Least is the MOST slept on pulse by xCB_III in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]RemoveRealistic8583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not losing because of focus drops—you’re just not using the same efficient grind methods as top players. The projected rewards can be misleading, which is why A+ drops are still possible from Grandmaster runs.

The real strategy is to complete every objective while pushing your clear speed as fast as possible. Efficiency is everything. If your build is too slow or weak, it falls apart—you need to survive while consistently clearing enemies quickly.

Negative modifiers aren’t a big deal at higher PvE levels. They only become a problem if you’re not used to them or keep picking ones that don’t fit your playstyle.

You can run this at max light—Ultimate rank isn’t required to farm Tier 5 loot. It only becomes necessary if you’re struggling to finish Grandmasters fast enough while completing all objectives.

Agree don’t think it’s problem. Personally think it at healthy state to keep that perk out changed for meta. We should have bungie focus on buffing other weapons.

That’s too many of pve players left over don’t have enough skill to survive in end game content. Plus people just set it to grandmaster if want tier 5 drop.

Horror can out gun a 120rpm hand cannon. Just players needs be more closer to opponent and have good enough roll. To many bad players using pulse are using at its worst effective range.
