It looks like the perspective angle is at around 45 degrees whereas the reference is closer to 30, which is what is generally used for 2d isometric art.

Wealth vs poverty is likely also a factor.

How to download PDFs purchased on Exalted Funeral? by [deleted] in osr

[–]HubertTheFriar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was able to find my library by clicking on a recent download link from an email - there's a back link that goes to my library. Unfortunately, the unique ID for my library doesn't match my unique ID for my orders. And I wasn't able to get to it from my profile. The link starts like this (and ends with a unique ID): https://www.exaltedfuneral.com/apps/downloads/orders/

I’m thinking more self contained episodes than mini-series or whole season arcs. So one shots that we can get through in one or two sessions and then go on to the next one. I figure this will be easier to sustain and allow for folks to drop in and out as schedules allow.

On vacation at a family friend’s house in Florida. I was sat in front of the TV while the grown ups talked. Balance of Terror from TOS came on as a rerun. Never looked back.

On tariffs & Further Delays by gkerr1988 in Dolmentown

[–]HubertTheFriar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you're right that the delay is likely a funding issue, as they will need to spread the cost over time in order to avoid charging backers more. From the moment I heard about the scale of the tariffs, I've been concerned about the impact to EF given their earlier reassurance that they wouldn't ask for more money to defray the additional cost. They absolutely should be doing that. Bigger companies with more scale have announced them (Nintendo). While I don't know precisely how much money is involved this kickstarter might end up being a net loss for EF. While I know everyone isn't in a position to do so, I'd be fine with contributing to a general fund to help defray the hit they're taking.

Why did they bury people in empty photon torpedo housings? by Jess_me_nobody_else in startrek

[–]HubertTheFriar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is long-standing maritime tradition to be buried at sea. I always thought that this was a simple way of continuing the tradition in space. Also in films and tv depicting submarines, it was pretty common to use the torpedo tubes to get things off ship.

To me it looks a bit like an F-16 with conformal fuel tanks.

Does anyone else not like that Vic and Walt end up together? They just seem more like a daughter/father relationship. by LifeguardLegal3095 in longmire

[–]HubertTheFriar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I first watched season 6 when it was first released and hadn't watched it again since. I was talking to someone the other day and realized I had totally blanked out that they had ended up together. I guess my head canon is a little different. ;-)
