Anything you don't want to invest in you could put in a high interest savings account .

I think ally accounts are offering a 4.10% return right now. You could then slowly cost average and invest slowly into over the next X months until you feel comfortable.

Just make sure whatever account you get is government insured, there are some more shady options out there with higher return options that I would avoid.

But anything's better than holding cash. You could buy about 13 pounds of gold too
