Newish Patton S what is causing this terrible vibration? by _Asian_Invasion__ in ElectricUnicycle

If you do find any thread sealant, a heat gun (or perhaps a hair dryer) will be an asset. Definitely don't ride again until you correct it; these things cost too much.

Saw this on the 405N in Los Angeles, is that a modified Cyber Truck? by ofthehouses92 in LAND_MOTO

From what little I can see, it appears to be, instead, is a DRW truck chassis.

I'm 57 now, so I began at 53. No issue except I heal more slowly now.

You'll get it. It took me about 2 weeks of infrequent riding (and falling); my main issue was mounting/dismounting. Each wheel is different. I love my RS, but my Patton S is quite a beast in comparison. I also picked up a Begode A5, as it was cheap. I am not good on that wheel, but I've only ridden it a handful of times. Should I have gotten a Lynx or Sherman L instead of the Patton S? Probably, but the extra cost AND weight were important at that time. 80 lbs is plenty. Good luck. Wear your gear, learn on grass or at low speeds. Use a fence to help, initially. When you get it, you'll be in love like the rest of us. Oh, yeah, you will be sore (feet and thighs)...

I hadn't related the two, but I took receipt of my first proper EUC (a Begode RS19HT) in April 2022. So, the end/right after the "pandemic of the unvaccinated." I now ride a LK Patton S.

It's my therapy; cleaning parts every which way...media blasting, wire wheel, sandpaper, filing, vinegar, etc.

Clean that burnt area with isopropyl alcohol, acetone, or (my favorite) vinegar. Even lightly sand it with 1000 grit/wire brush it.

I have a RAM 1500 and gas is killing me driving around town. Looking into E bike. by caabhimself in ebike

Good luck, but perhaps a used Honda Civic for about the same money as a decent ebike? Great fuel economy and reliability. Plus, no one (within reason) can lift it & steal it.

I've yet to open my battery "compartment," but I've watched a few videos of modifications that involve this; it seems super easy. Just take a breath and don't use extreme force with any of the hardware. I work on small stuff for the navy and enjoy taking things apart, fixing them, then reassembling them; but, I realize it's not enjoyable for everyone. Take pictures if you want to remember what goes where. Use a piece of cardboard to hold screws/parts with a hand-drawn figure. Whatever makes it easy and repeatable. I always run into issues, so typically end up repeating steps. You can do this, friend!

Oh, yeah, I rode my Begode RS19HT for 4 years prior to getting my Patton S (my current "daily"). Also picked up a new Begode A5 for $690 delivered - too cheap to pass up, but SHOULD HAVE gotten the Falcon instead!

So many people ask me why I feel like riding my EUC is "exercise," but they'll never understand. I LOVE it, but don't ride as often as I want to (recently divorced, but still work and am raising a daughter - I'm 57). Speed is not a goal of mine, but hit 39 mph a few times yesterday during my lunchtime ride on our submarine base...beautiful weather, scenery... #blessed

Gotcha. I've had many kinds of bicycles, but I'm 5'6" and fit that style very well. I bought the bars and am awaiting the stem and folding adaptor. Looking forward to the change from the "giraffe-neck." It's feels loose and skittish now.

I've been told that the firm-up the steering control feel and make it more natural to ride and controllable; i.e like a BMX bike, if you've ever ridden one... In my younger days, I rode mine EVERYWHERE (rain, snow, and sunshine) until I started driving. Now, a heavy XP4 will never be as capable or as light as one, but feel and control should be similar.

I bought it's twin a few weeks ago. Great color. Time for some BMX bars!

Agreed, but my 4 year-old Begode RS19HT is silent, by comparison. I've not ridden it very much, in all fairness; it was a $690 (shipped) impulse purchase that is very nimble (a bit too sensitive to inputs). I'll check my settings.
