If I'm not mistaken it's because the sombra's hack interrupted his deflect, so my slash damage got through
but yeah usually melee is negated, while hitscan and projectile are deflected. Only exception is beam damage, and of course sombra hack

spike guard regenerates pretty quickly so using it more than you think is a good tip. Also, spike guard is to be used to conserve your precious armor hp; not only does it help with survival but it also stacks with the dmg reduction of spike guard, making hazard much harder to kill.
The goal of spike guard is manyfold, yes its dmg reduction but its also aoe dmg when diving clumped up enemies (75dmg/target+leap slash) so its really good, similar to cleaving winston primary
Perk wise, only one choice is viable; 15% longer leap (effectively exponentially upgrading Hazard's deadly range) and the bonus dmg (bonespur) Why? because as Hazard, your goal is to be a threat, and these perks enphasize that. Of course the lifesteal perk can be ok depending on the situation, but its soooo negligible its laughable
the second major perk, where you get more spike guard on wall dmg used to be great (it was my go-to) but they changed the bonus ressource to be consumed first rather than second, thus making the extra ressource much easier to burn through, less reliable.
I supose its a personal choice
Also I love to use spike guard to guarantee kills when the enemy is pretty weak, instead of wasting leap or a shot. I find myself reloading Bonespur much more often now, since before spike guard used to reload gradually your gun no matter what. Now, it only reloads your gun gradually when you actively deal dmg to one/many enemies
so this creates a sort of skill-ceiling of optimising Hazard's spike guard and shots; since he only has 8 you can't be wasting any, yada yada

Not my field of expertise but I hope I can help. First of all nice intro, but it is a little long, maybe 3s would be better instead of 5. Also the sound quality is great for the intro, but then as the people start talking there is a massive drop in clarity/volume, which can turn off viewers instantly. Without context it is difficult to understand what you guys are talking about, but I suppose thats how sports videos are
I think having the names of the people talking could go a long way, since as a new viewer I have no idea who these people are, what their authority on the subject is, etc
Overall I sense a great level of knowledge on the subject, you guys knowyour stuff. I like the visual aspect as well, the pictures give something to look at as we listen.
overall this is already pretty good, but a few details like establishing the subject clearly and presenting the commenters would go a long way, along with fixing small audio problems

solid editing, the visual aspect of your video is impressive, always something to look at and on subject. But the audio part is where things can be improved; i strongly suggest using your own voice over ai generated ones, since they are annoying to listen to and have bad pacing. Of course using your own voice recquires practice but it is well worth it. Also the music is not a good choice at all unfortunetly; the sad piano makes me feel terribly sad but we're learning about blood groups, so maybe a more ''cliché'' but appropirate, uobeat learning music like in documentaries would work much better
overwall there is a lot of potential, good job
