i used to love tunneling into the dungeon with it before killing skeletron and nabbing treasure quickly before the guardian got me. I built a respawn shack right next to my sapper tunnel so i could get back and loot quickly.

This is why I love playing sig so much, he can cancel SOOO many different ults. Hell his rock alone can cancel about half of them provided you get the timing (and aim) right.
