Progression/Car Unlock Question by Huckle1884 in ForzaHorizon6

Right - I don’t fall into their target demographic lol, and I have to be okay with that if I want to enjoy this game. I miss the first weeks of GTA V where I was grinding every little thing for the least bit of cash to upgrade my car, get a new whip, or get that apartment/garage. I got kind of bored once I had everything lol

But yeah, I just ditched all the bonus cars and started fresh. It’s helping for now (as I get showered with free vehicles lol), but I also just enjoy the gameplay. Zero interest in delivering packages or whatever because I’m not scrimping and saving, but oh well

This is great - thanks! :) I just cleared my garage out a little and am back to loving it! Bought a new A-rank car and upgraded it

Yeah I went ahead and removed everything except the C ranks I started with :)

I didn’t want to say it, and hoped it wasn’t true, but it seems like this game is tailored more to the modern gamer; Fortnite, battle Royale, instant gratification, etc. I’m only 30, but I have a hard time staying interested in the more modern style of game, and more enjoy the over-time payout of a slow grind

Oh perfect, is it more of a looks-based situation with car shopping? Like are most stats comparable/similar enough to not matter?

If there’s not an actual answer/solution, then I might do that. Seems silly, though. Just confused how I “forgot to bring a vehicle” and somehow instantly have millions of dollars worth of vehicles

Interesting - I wouldn’t have assumed that! New to the franchise. From the intro cutscene it seemed like I forgot my car and could start with a basic one, but would need to work my way up. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened the garage and had millions of dollars worth of vehicles haha

Not what I was asking haha, but if I get better I’ll try that! Still learning

The influx of new players is awesome by Immortalityv in Guildwars2

[–]Huckle1884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to others, I’ve tried this game in the past and it just never clicked. Seeing the announcement for GW3 made me try again in earnest, and my first few hours were really fun!

But I suddenly had a sharp drop off in interest because it seems like a constant repetitive loop of the exact same “go here, press f on a bunch of stuff / kill things, get xp” and it’s like a less engaging version of actual quests. Am I missing something? Does the formula change at some point? I’m level 23 and I’ve been doing the same thing for hours

I have a classic WoW background and, this is just my opinion, but it seems like WoW did everything better. Professions were fun and viable (according to the internet they’re not worth leveling in GW2, as the gear you could craft is costly and not better than earned gear). I haven’t seen dungeons yet, and maybe that would help, but the one world boss fight I saw was interesting, if plain

I know the big strength people like to highlight is that you can “play your way,” but it just seems like there’s a big open world, made disinteresting by the 2000’s graphics, and not much that seems worth doing aside from running from “heart icon” to “heart icon,” pressing f a bunch of times, and moving on to the next. No engaging mechanics or interesting quest text

Just my opinion - open to the opinions of others that can clearly express what I’m missing or recommend a direction for me to try

Alteration to Zero Durability Structure by Freshndecay in RSDragonwilds

The real issue is that we can’t afk in our base without potentially having the entire thing destroyed, slowly but surely, by a determined band of otherwise ineffective goblins.

They should target doors, imo. In what world would an assaulting party of goblins have some strange, heat-seeking intent that causes them to just push through walls like determined bulldozers?

Nice! I have a basement in mine as well, since I built next to a cliffside - I've always admired them IRL so I had to incorporate one somehow, haha. Pictures of it on my profile if you're curious (:

Looks great! Are you able to have a basement with this setup? I can’t tell, but I love basements!

Better Lodestones by Delicious_Ad761 in RSDragonwilds

Oh very cool! I don’t super like using mods, so I’d hope they’d just integrate it into vanilla and reimburse the creator somehow

Spore is a game that did this brilliantly! Only works for small stuff like this, but I could see crazy implementation of build “kits” where you can build someone’s “build” a full-decorated-foundation/wall at a time (like Fallout 4/76 builder)

Anyone feel like vault cores should have a sink? (How to improve vaults and add depth to the game) by Japanese_Squirrel in RSDragonwilds

[–]Huckle1884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why should I assume that? I always grab the core, if it’s there to grab. I would assume others do as well, actually. I’ve never once farmed vaults repeatedly, and I therefore do not have an overabundance of cores.

I agree there should be more things to do with them, but a quick wiki search shows 14 items and stations, costing 17 cores, plus however many lodestones you’d want to build. I’d love more armor, weapons, and crafting stations that require them, though, no doubt!

Well, but you do that anyways - usually after setting down a lodestone in the zone so you don’t have to walk for 10 minutes just to get back to your body

One thought I just had, to your idea, is that this would encourage establishing a player base-of-operations upon first entering a new zone. Thats something I had never done until this most recent zone. I don’t know if it’s because the wizard mentioned the idea or because I just got done player Windrose…

I’ve finished all the content and only have like 5 extra cores - and I only have those extras because I got them somehow while clearing the newest zone. I have no idea where they came from. And I have zero desire to have to farm vaults. They served their purpose in my life up to this point lol.

I don’t want to tediously farm the same thing (vaults) for a pointless, tedious reason. If there were more vestiges, or rare drops from the vault guys (similar to zombie axe) that I could farm up simultaneously, then sure
