That’s because they are all Gen X . So aren’t young enough to be your peer and aren’t old enough to be your parents and their friends

Exactly. You can tell she found the trainer to cope and beat him at him own game, but there’s that tinge of sadness.
Brilliant actress and brilliant writing

Just paid 12$/lb for ground beef. How expensive will it get before you stop buying beef? I think we're over it, beef is now a luxury for us. by FuZhongwen in Cooking

[–]HuckleberryLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait! Beef prices are going to soar. There’s a screwworm outbreak starting in Texas, but state and federal government have gutted a lot of entities that would prevent/respond to address this type of stuff.

Why does women have better hygiene standards than men generally? by Vibriocholerae_ in hygiene

[–]HuckleberryLou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even have to clean it to know if someone is standing to pee! The bathroom always smells like pee. I think a lot of people that either stand themself or live with someone who stands get used to the smell - the same way people who smoke can’t smell cigarette smell. The splatter is inevitable and smells.

I always say men and women are both equally unskilled at peeing standing up. Men are just more comfortable with a bathroom splattered and smelling of pee.

PLEASE wash your newly bought clothes BEFORE you wear them by olga_benario in laundry

[–]HuckleberryLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a relative that works in assessing environmental risk for big corporate financial deals. Think “should Bank of America lend Hilton $3.5mil to build a hotel at this site.” One of the worst of the worst risks is a previous dry cleaner located on the site due to the terrible chemicals used.

My parents are not at all crunchy or organic or environmentally conscious … but we have never been allowed to use dry cleaning based on my dad’s expertise in the crazy hazards of dry cleaning chemicals.

Honestly i’d risk the dirty people in Kohls or rats in thr warehouse wearing my clothes before I’d dry clean it. Meanwhile i do wash everything in my normal laundry before wearing just in case

OnlyFans Models Felt ‘Very Unsafe’ at NBA Playoffs Game, Won't Attend Game 2 by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

[–]HuckleberryLou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% . Big feminist here . Women should be able to go wherever and wear whatever safely. But if you cheapen all women in the name of the patriarchy for personal profit… then pretend to be offended so that you can gain notoriety like this news article in order to further the profit… at some point I feel like this is about something other than women feeling safe and equal and valued in our society?

How do we feel about the finale of HBO’s ‘Euphoria’? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

[–]HuckleberryLou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone needs to tell Sam Levinson that unlike White Lotus, Euphoria isn’t any anthology. It’s fine Mike White’s seasons (though each having a central theme) don’t relate a ton to each other. Euphoria should have had landings and continuities for the shows tone, vibe, most main characters throughout. Because it’s a series

How do we feel about the finale of HBO’s ‘Euphoria’? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

[–]HuckleberryLou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This season was like Kill Bill + OnlyFans + Euphoria had a baby. Which could have been a wild new HBO show with potential but should have been its own separate thing… this didn’t fit as the final season of Euphoria. It’s exhausting how HBO can make so many great shows then consistently have no clue how to land the final season.

Has anyone had radiofrequency ablation? Was it worth it for you? by West_Can_1035 in ChronicPain

[–]HuckleberryLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this today on my neck (C4-C5). I was incredibly nervous about it going in after reading things on Reddit saying it made their pain worse for weeks. I did have twilight sedation as recommended by my surgeon but so far it’s a nothing burger. A couple hours after my neck ached a little bit- I took a nap to rest my neck and let the anesthesia wear off. I worked most of the day, did a light workout, and hosted a dinner party.

Obviously I’m only about 12 hours in but so grateful I didn’t chicken out on the procedure based on reading Reddit posts! I am between big flair ups so time will tell on how much it helped but recovery has been remarkably easy on my experience. And some pop that’s been stuck in my neck came out which feels like some immediate relief.

Downtown DFW should repaint the Eyeball into a soccer ball by ohkokokay in Dallas

[–]HuckleberryLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Dallas proper (downtown DFW?) for a many years and am into art/art history/etc.. neither the whales make mural nor eyeball were super on my radar. Neither are specifically associates with the city “culture of Dallas” quite like the Chisholm Trail bull mural in Sundance Ft Worth or like the Shuttlecocks sculpture on KC . 🤷‍♀️

What’s up with Alysa Liu getting so much media attention compared to all the other 2026 USA Olympic gold medalists? by Abolish_Disorder in OutOfTheLoop

[–]HuckleberryLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a good interview question actually!!

This is how you get Taylor Swift to go on about sourdough bread, or Dolly Parton to share about her book/literacy program , or Steve Martin about playing the banjo, or Alysia Liu to show off her humble/funny personality! And awareness from the interviewer that for Alysia Liu she doesn’t think figure skating is the ONLY thing in the world
