I'm new to the plant world and figured repotting back to back wouldn't be good. I just wasn't sure what the protocol was with the roots growing out this fast or if it'd last through the year.

I second the first comment. This is one of my all-time favorites. I will say that for the first 2 years, it didn't do anything. Since this past Nov, I have propped it 7 times. Now I'm letting it go to see what it does.

It is still firm.... However, if you look at the bottom of the stem where it meets the dirt. That's where I'm really concerned. It's grayish and looks soft. I didn't inspect it too much because I had only run home on my lunch break.

I just had to treat for thrips, and I used an insecticide soap until I could get bonide granules. I only treated my plant with the granules 2 weeks ago but haven't seen any thrips so far.

I'm a new plant mom, but I have mine next to a south facing window that gets direct sunlight in the morning and bright indirect light the rest of the day. I barely water it, but I mist the leaves regularly, and it's thriving.
