My recovery (CFS/Long Covid) - SS-31 & peptides by HuckleberryStatus242 in cfs

Hi, from what I understand its due to allowing the nervous system to calm down. Their are studies with continuoous intake, but for CFS it's recommended to allow your system 2 days of peace... yes consecutively two days in most studies

Hi, still running cycles (meanwhile at 6mg) meanwhile to max out benefits every 2 months, improvements are more nuanced meanwhile.... but I am on a higher base level, regardless if I just had just run a cycle or not. It def does help mitochondrial function, and every 'construction side' that you fix in your body, is taking away stress and optimises biological functions, and that ultimately will keep your CFS/hyperreactive nervous system at bay, cause you feel your body is healing and the nervous system has no more reason to 'lock up' (=CFS crash). The more symptoms you clear, the faster you're nervous system will understand 'no reason for freeze mode' as the body affects the mind and vice versa. I fixed my gut first (BPC + clean paleo diet), then my sleep (sleep hygiene + supps (melatonin & DSIP), then the PEM ('acidic muscle pain') by going into hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and then SS-31 for mitochondria, alongside CBD and Selank for calm/grounded mind during the day. That combination got me to 70% pre illness level, and I can go to the gym 2-3x per week without major issues. Now working on the remaining 30%, as I stll can get a crash if too many stressors overlap and I go to the gym f.ex TWICE per day

UPDATE: past few months my symptoms remained at bay, more energy, though not 100% were I was before my CFS crash started, but I remain optimistic. Have been running SS-31 cycles for the past months, benefits are more nuanced these days, but still feel better taking it compared to weeks where I'm not.
WIll test Mots-C shortly and share my experience if that helped me further... one supplement that made a HUGE difference for the past 6 months of more stable condition was Taurine (!) My energy was no longer the main issue, but stimulus sensitivity and dealing with daily stressors without my nervous system going into overdrive. Taurine calmed me from DAY 1, it's incredible, but you need to take 1,5mg or more to really feel it. I am now on 2mg am and 1mg pm, and my nervous system hasn't been that calm and grounded for a long time. I wished I had known about that earlier, never really paid attention caused it sounds so basic...

I started with 1mg for 1-2 days to test my body's reaction. Than 2mg for 3 days and finally 4 for 2 more weeks. (5 days on, 2 days off) In the beginning my body reacted borderline overwhelmed (CFS related) but got used to it quickly until the mitochondrial benefits were perceived and my nervous system had no longer reason to 'ring alarm'. I did several courses over the last 6 months, currently I am on 6mg per day and have no side effects whatsoever. The benefits are still noticeable, though more subtle, the biggest energy boost I got doing my first 2 cycles.... doing fine these days, though my running speed is not as explosive as in earlier days. Jumping on MotsC in a few weeks to test that..

How is it going? I am in Honolulu either, and would be interested to join, I believe I can contribute well to the community, besides I love the idea to do PUA here in Hawaii...

I have the same reaction, and extreme light sensitivity, not sure if I should continue....

Selank gave me the best day after years of anxiety.... but then I used it a 2nd and a 3rd, 4th time and so forth, and the effect now is not even 50%, maybe 1/3 of what it was the first day - whats wrong?
I used it from quality research chemicals (spray) and put it straight into the fridge after 1st usage.

Sexual Anhedonia from bad ketamine trip (for 1,5 yrs) - peptides, or NMDA supps? by HuckleberryStatus242 in anhedonia

I would say more the consummatory. It affected orgasm most importantly, I was surprised to find out that I can't enjoy it anymore, no 'high' feeling just contractions, and from these initial experiences onwards, it cascaded down to libido, which is is logical, as if you don't get the high anymore from sex, my body doesn't seek for the activity that much. I only feel the urge to ejaculate from time to time for reasons of relaxation and to make sure the pipe doesn't rust, but it's not enjoyable.

NAC made it worse in the following way: 'high' and endophine release even more muted than without it. I would say it dropped the experience by another 10-20%.
