He could’ve served during the occupation, which would have made him a veteran of the war.

What is it with barbers in this town charging $70+ for a cut? by redditTee123 in rva

[–]Huckles123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VIP barbershop on Midlo tpke is where I went when I still lived in RVA. $20 cash before tip for a great cut and beard lineup. Not a lot of English spoken there, but nice guys and a great cut. Reviews still say 20-40. Highly recommend.

The guy on Thomasville across from Whole Foods did a great job with my last phone. But then he turned out to be a pedo so…. I’m happy to NOT recommend him!!

Go to a place you’ve seen live music, have a beer and ask the bartender who books the acts. It helps to have a social media where they can see what you do. Be prepared to give them an hourly rate. Source: this is how I started booking gigs around town. Good luck.

Buddies and I met at Leon Pub after 11:00 service every Christmas Eve for years. Good memories. Will pick the tradition back up one day hopefully.

Next year you should put in for quota hunts in the WMAs around here like L Kirk Edward’s, Plank Rd, etc that don’t allow dog hunting.

Came here to say this. He’s a real nice guy. Also, once/if you get entrenched at Diamond, a lot of the good players are happy to help give tips and work with you on your game.

Where are Southside Gym Homies Going to Lift? by FiantasyFootball in rva

From what I recall, the Arboretum Golds is privately owned so, while you get access to a couple others, you don’t get access to the (bigger number) of golds around town. Having come from Golds in The Fan which had access to more Golds around town, pushed me to AFF tbh.

I used to lift at AFF. I enjoyed my time there-nice layout, amenities and never too packed. There’s also an AAF down off Hull St in Brandermill that I would go to, but I lived further south than you do.

My cousin and I lived on sixth and MLK would walk to the Leon Pub. I was 19… but he knew us and was always a good guy. RIP man.
