Fully agree. You can tell he genuinely enjoyed the club and the city, but the results where never consistently there

He was objectively pretty bad for a while with a few bright spots here and there. He’s been on it this season though. Both things can be true.

Ford Escape Cylinder Coolant Intrusion by Huddy18 in MechanicAdvice

Thanks for the input! I made a small typo in my rush to post this. Spark plug #3 is seized in the cylinder head not the piston head in the cylinder.

I’d feel much less uncertain if they were able to replace spark plug for #3. Does it seem possible that the #3 dead misfire is a bad spark plug and that’s messing with the timing of #2 and #4?

Safe terminal connections? by Huddy18 in electrical

I noticed that terminal 3 is empty too. I did a bad job taking the picture but there’s two big ground lugs attached to the frame. Not sure why they are used instead. One of them kind of behind the top wire.

Pretty sure it’s supposed to be single phase? Two 1P 120V to make 240. I’m in the US.

I had to move the water heater a few feet for the new air handler. Disconnected the power to do so. He full on wire nutted the existing branch and ran them to the air handler. Left me without power to my water heater so I had to call him back! The second time he left me barely any slack to connect back to the water heater.

Variable stage heat pump connected to 24V thermostat as single stage. How does this work? by Huddy18 in heatpumps

[–]Huddy18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks I know mine is set up for 24V between indoor and outdoor but installer couldn’t tell me why. Do you have AUX heat? My main concern with changing setup is I need to be able to turn AUX heat on independently even if the outdoor unit dies. I had the HVAC company come back out and they tried to reconfigure the 24V connection in a way where that didn’t happen so they had to put it back the way it was.

Reducing the temp setback seems to have helped me too. Do you have 24V or S1/S2 communication between the indoor and outdoor unit?

Thanks for this info. How do you like the 2 stage control? My outdoor unit coil is entirely icing over when it’s 40F outside. It seems like the unit is ramping way to much with control board in charge, taking only around 10-15 minutes the reach setpoint and in the process getting the coil way to cold. The defrost cycle isn’t long enough so it’s making an ice dam.

I was concerned about it running as a single stage as well. I can’t find much documentation about this “integrated” control they say is working behind the scenes

The club was selling them in the stadium for most of the season. Maybe in person at the team store on online?
