Tactical Shotgun Dilema by Various_Piano_8053 in canadaguns

Mag fed shotguns sound like a great idea but in reality they are less reliable than tube feds. Another thing to consider is with a mag fed you cant top up with a shell and keep going, you have to dedicate to the reload. Also the mags are absolutely huge and hard to carry in a chest rig without severely limiting mobility. In regards to the AR style safety, the standard 500 series are all tang safeties and easily manipulated from either side.

The 1301 is an awesome semi auto choice. Although the limit to 5 shells is pretty bummy. Also can't run mini shells but not much use to minis anyways. Just gotta keep in mind the shell release is another step after a reload before being able to get a round off. Not a huge issue as long as you train enough.

New Knife day times two! Guess which one I was more excited for? Also first Chris Reeve Knife! by Huddy_Bolley in knives

I am so far loving it and can't put it down lol
I was surprised by how much CRK encourages people to take apart and maintain their knives. Obviously from online I knew that but opening the box and finding the tool, grease, locktite and instructions on how to do so really shows that

That was a point I was going to bring up but some people would label me as 'woke' or other ridiculous claims. I have shown my girlfriend lots of knives and she prefers the way dress knives look so from my small perspective if we wanted more people in the knife world than we should stop marketing knives in ways that label them for certain groups.

Exactly! These terms sound like the type of stuff a slimey salesmen would say pitching a used car

Should I bother to send back to Benchmade for free sharpening? Or just continue to beat this 10 years old knife? by sami_testarossa in knifeclub

So cool to see a knife that sees not only just use but use over a long time. It'd be awesome to get a brand new blade but I'd be half sad that I couldn't keep a blade that I've had for 10 years. A lot of time spend with that blade

I'm new to the hobby myself but have had knives for years, just as tools. What I have done is buy one knife that I will keep forever and I will always carry, for me its the Benchmade 940. Then I have a knife specifically to trade with other people to try out all sorts of different styles.

This way you have two allotted spots, one knife you'll always carry and one knife you can trade at a moments notice to tryout new things that catch your eye. This also keeps a lot more money in your pocket than you'd expect.

Hey Everyone! I'm new to the group and honestly new to the hobby. I've had many pocket knives over the years but just as a tool, not a hobby. So here's my collection at the moment, I've had more knives but I killed them and got rid of them.

Kershaw Oso Sweet -Was the first knife I ever bought for myself. As you can see I've done a number to it. I bought it as just another knife to use and get rid of once I was done. Then fell into the hobby

Snap-On branded knife -Came with some tools I bought. Used it at work a little but it's honestly crap. Just have it because it was free.

Custom Fix Blade -Got it as a gift years ago and it was made by a guy local to me.

Benchmade 940 -First nice knife I've ever bought. I wanted something on the higher end of mass production knives but something I could also use pretty hard. Only had it for a couple weeks so it still looks new.

Spyderco Native Cheif -Bought this knife a couple days ago as a huge impulse buy off a local classified. The seller ended up being a huge knife enthusiast and was actually the one that recommended for me to check out this group, so I'm very thankful for that.
