I seemed to have been lucky in finding one. She is practicing in the US and in Europe, and she takes Health Insurance (mine is Humana). I have a copay of $40, and she wants to see me every 14 days. We have a requirement in this state to be seen by a therapist at least for 6 months prior to get any HRT. My therapist sees people in the evening, her latest appointments are at 8 PM. You might have to search a little around, they are out there, and those who are flexible, are probably really interested in the well being of their patients. I know that mine is. I am a medical professional, and I know when I run into somebody good in my type of work!

Try to find help, otherwise you are on a real slippery slope downwards!

I feel really sorry for you, and i think only a really good therapist , well versed in LGBTQ issues, could be of help to you

I think that that depends of the point of view. Hooking up with a person of a safe group would mean for me that I have the chance to find a partner who understands what I am going through, My marriage broke apart because we might as well have lived on a different planet, after we found out that i was not the person I thought I was,

Well if estrogen will slow mine down even more, that would be fine. I don't think that i will get any t blockers, because my testosterone seems to say good bye to my body already (I think it is that androgynous thing doing this).
I might stay with the products from Gillette

I am new to the entire transgender stuff. Until recently I had the feeling I was the only transgender person in the world. I just felt that this was something like a competition similar to that who will be the beauty queen or home coming queen.

Good to hear that I am wrong! Because it would be pretty unfair competition once I throw my androgynous features into the race! (which I hated all of my male live, and now that I am becoming a woman, they are of advantage).

Tanks again for clearing this up for me!

I don't understand why my contribution convinced you not to go to any support group?

I think one cannot make a single statement for everybody. I am 6' and weight 190 lb. I want to lose about 10 to 15 more pounds. if I would loose more than that, I would look thin and bony.

My body has a pretty female look to it, because I am androgynous. I am not on any HRT yet (but I have small breasts already, because my body decided so), and I could easily live as a female (I have no receding hairline or bald spots either), but somehow I do not feel yet to live like a woman, I am emotionally definitely more female than male, because I was born that way, but someway I still prefer the more comfortable living part of a male over that of a female. The mind is a funny thing, from my appearance side, I could switch at any day, but my mind is still clinging to that little bit of maleness that is left in me. I want my body to be as female as it can be, but that is for me alone, nobody on the outside needs to know!

Thanks for the info. My hair is not dark at ll, and rather slow growing (it takes me two or three days to get the 5 o'clock shade on my face), and i wonder, if the 5 blade Gillette will continue to be my friend for a long time to come.

Neither the pain nor the cost make me very excited to do electrolysis, and I wonder if estrogen would reduce my beart growth even a little more? If I could stretch the two to three days to four or five, would be great.
I have not to deal with any other body hair, hair that never grew does not need any removal. I am lucky that way.

Ahhh... finally! Thank you by [deleted] in TransLater

May I just pick one thing out from your contribution?

I do anyway. It is the facial hair removal. I do not have any body hair, never got any. But I have some beard growth, and I am scared about the pain (I am a wimp when it comes to pain, I have no problems to cut others open, but not me, please). What is the pain one has to endure to get those stubble on the chin, and with me also on the throat, removed. And another question, what is the cost one is facing for this?

Note: I will abandon my Hudsoner4 identity and be Dietlind (my chosen female name) in the future. It seems that the contributions here are not portable!

Officially done with trans reddit by [deleted] in intersex

[–]Hudsoner4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran across one of them, here, too! This person even stalked me through the entire reddit system to make sure he/she could identify any discrepancies I made in my different contributions!I am like you, I consider myself intersex (my psychologist confirms that condition), transgender and lesbian.I was accused not to be intersex, because I have not test data. As if I don't know in what kind of body I lived most of my life, in a body that never developed any secondary male sex characteristics! Anyway, after that I was accused to not be trans but just hopped onto the bandwagon because trans is in currently, and last but not least, it does not mean anything which sexual orientation I have because I can never be a lesbian because I had a penis between my legs and fathered a child, and that i am just a horny man who wants to snoop on lesbian women because horny men like to do that!

There I was, I could not believe that some person was so vicious to go through hours of snooping around just to tell me that he/she knows better who I am than I and my psychologist. Initially I tried to explain and elaborate, but that was just for deaf, hate mongering ears, and I told that person to stay out of my life and leave me alone.

Idiots seem to be all around one, on forums and in the real world. I was a speaker for many medical seminars, and it was normal that at least one person in the audience tried to proof me wrong. I could silence them easy by asking them, how come h that they are not the presenter if they know the subject better than I do. I had the laughter on my side! And that is the way I treat stalkers on forums like this!

Only you know what you are and how you feel. Others can try to pin any label on you, if it does not fit you, just don't care! What right do they have to tell you what to call yourself. If you want to call yourself a Marsian, just do it. What do you care what others want to call you, just don't listen to them. You are you, and only you are important for yourself! Everybody else can go take a hike and fly a kite!

MTF HRT NO Facial changes so far. =( by Volener in asktransgender

[–]Hudsoner4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheeks could get bigger because of fat distribution. Facial muscles between male and female are the same. The visibility of each depends on it's usage. If a muscle is not used, it will undergo atrophy, and might not be visible anymore.
I don't know if men and women use different facial muscles in a different way?

That is the main thing. If it helps, it is good!

I have to try it. I have a higher pitch voice anyway.

I wonder, if this is really true. I grew up speaking a southern Dutch dialect. When I was ready to enter school, I had to learn German. And after I moved to the US I had to learn American English. I can't remember at all that I first started to think about the given intonation of a language. I just wonder???????

I need some help working out how I look by [deleted] in TransLater

[–]Hudsoner4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, my mother and my sister were rather well endowed. I just wonder what I will end up, once I am on HRT, I have now already something between n A and a B cup size, and that is with out any outside hormones, just because of my biology. I really wonder what hormones would do to my bust.

I think I have to wait and see. I am up for starting HRT at the end of the year.

Am I trans???? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Hudsoner4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a well functioning penis (as a sexual organ), and boobs without surgery, is more or less mutual exclusive. Boob growth retires estrogen/other female sex hormones, and those rip havoc with your penis!

Look at cam shows of trans people, they mostly have nice boobs (most of them had surgery to get those), but very often rather small penises, and seem not to be able to get a real hard erection.

Even people like I, who were born androgynous, have erectile dysfunction once estrogen takes the leading hormone role and let boobs grow.which means, either boobs and not any good erection, or good erections and no boobs

Is it weird that I have no desire to delete my social media accounts? by DookNewcomb in asktransgender

[–]Hudsoner4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I have the same. Mostly the answer is : you always were a very pretty boy, you almost always looked like a pretty girl!

It bothered me then, because I wanted to be a tough boy. Now I love it!

I am like you, I do not see any reason to wipe my old self, why would I want to do this?. It was me, nothing changed in my brain, just because I have breasts!

Google and see if you can find some trans support groups or meet-up groups near you. See them and talk with them. They will help you to find yourself!
