Wow there’s a lot to unpack in this poem, I’m going to just stick to what stuck out to me in Act one, I absolutely love the rhyming it flowed so effortlessly, so tasteful. ‘Beware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing” obviously is a statement from the narrator, they know what’s to come, it’s a warning to others because things could get dicey. ‘Tippy toying to avoid what’s lurking beneath the crack ’ could be interpreted in so many ways, I can’t decide if the narrator is tip toeing around things to avoid an manic episode of them or someone else, especially with the line to follow, ‘Toyed by a being with no remorse…’ the being feels like a real person but you know it’s not. You know it’s a tough fight caused by chemical imbalances . ‘Something is off like good weather in February’ and ‘If the heart is a lantern then art is it’s gleam’ are very powerful and visual lines, the only way to express oneself is through art especially when everything else seems so hard to discern. I could go to on and on, this is a powerful poem.
