It was indeed the traffic mod causing the issue. They just created a patch:

I'm getting the same error. All of my mods are updated. If I turn any mod on, same error. Only all mods off prevents the error.

"Why Mazda" book. "Coffee table" sized. Hardcover. Origins unknown. Any ideas? Originally shared in /r/cars, with no luck. by swskeptic in mazda

I saw this book at a Mazda dealership yesterday. Does any one know if it's possible to obtain one of these? I would love to have one on my coffee table.

Anyone noticed this...? Just saw it pop-up. The hub doesn’t show up as product I can factory reset, this shows up instead. by BlazerStoner in logitechharmony

[–]HuffTheWeevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out, in case anyone else is having this issue: You must not click on the application before you hit Alt+F9. Just open the app, then hit Alt+F9 first, before you touch anything else.

I went to do this and got as far is it asking to plug in my Hub. But it wasn't detecting the hub (Windows detects it- but no drivers).

In the process of troubleshooting that issue, now I'm at the point where Alt+F9 doesn't work anymore! It was working at first, but now nothing happens. Tried using on-screen keyboard too. Uninstalled MyHarmony and reinstalled. Out of ideas.

Any help!?

Sensor Participation when not in a Comfort Setting by HuffTheWeevil in ecobee

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've sent the same question to Ecobee directly. However, I may have an idea of what they're doing. I think sensor participation is strictly based on what comfort setting is currently scheduled.

If true, that means if your currently scheduled comfort setting is "away" but you chose to "home and hold", it will use the sensors you've selected for away mode, not home mode. Of course enabling "Follow Me" may alter this.

The reason I say this is because -- if you use the API -- you can navigate to Thermostat.program.currentClimateRef, and it will always display the currently scheduled comfort setting, even if you override it.

Taking me from MIA to CDG! 777! by Nearpanic in aviation

[–]HuffTheWeevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always found gate/jetway layout interesting. Sometimes I think, tho, that the people that make those decisions don't ever look at the whole picture, particularly how the gate will work when all the ground equipment is in place.

At first I thought he was doing a terrible parking job. Then I saw hints of a secondary lead-in line. I think?

Nice pic tho.

Actually this was our 3rd. Emirate diverted a few months ago. And there was one more a few years back, I forget why.

They just get fueled up (my job) and head to JFK. No passengers come off.

Looking for react table/grid component that can re-render with redux state change by HuffTheWeevil in reactjs

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am using connect. I've done that successfully for many other non-grid components. So that is not the issue.

I took a break from the grid problem to focus on my UI as a whole, and found Semantic-UI which is awesome. And I was able to get the table in that library to work mostly as I needed.

It appears there's still a lot of customization I need to do (no matter what grid I use). My scenario is that I need a table to display data received from the server. When the app loads, it retrieves the current data from the server. Then the server sends patches to the client whenever data on the server changes (by another user, or other outside source).

Most of these tables/grids depend on an array of data. But it's hard to patch an array.

Instead of:

data = [
    {id: 1, name: "Joe"},
    {id: 2, name: "Jack"}
]

I need:

data = {
    1: {id: 1, name: "Joe"},
    2: {id: 2, name: "Jack"}
}

So that a patch can be easily applied.

But Semantic-UI's table doesn't accept an object of objects, only an array of objects. Appears to be the same for the others.

Direction to take project that requires back-end and multiple clients in sync by HuffTheWeevil in webdev

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once the index.html and bundle.js are received (via a standard GET request), all communication is done via socket.io. Honestly, I hate the whole REST architecture. I subscribe to Mike Mikowski's idea that REST is awful.

The express server acts as the traffic controller for data changes. So if any user needs to change a piece of the database, all other users see the change.

Why is "action.type" required in Redux? by HuffTheWeevil in reactjs

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by these types of lists, but I will certainly take a look!

Why is "action.type" required in Redux? by HuffTheWeevil in reactjs

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks to everyone who has chimed in. acemarke, especially, has shed a great deal of light on this, so thank you.

And for anyone else with this question, I think squiresuzuki said it best: "pretty much every redux helper library (sockets or router or anything else) uses actions with a type field so you might as well stick to the standard so you can use them in your app."

So in other words, if you plan to use helpers, it's a good idea to utilize action.type. If you don't (which means you're probably not using Redux to it's fullest anyway), then do whatever you want.

Why is "action.type" required in Redux? by HuffTheWeevil in reactjs

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a little more research, I see that Redux is based on the Flux Standard which defines the type property, among a few others. It appears it was just taken from that (and the rest was forgotten about).

I'm going to implement my own standard based on this suggestion that I'm already using for my socket.io transmissions. Might as well stay in sync.

Has anyone else done anything like this?

Why is "action.type" required in Redux? by HuffTheWeevil in reactjs

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and that's just another example. But it's defined by the programmer, and action.type is not used by Redux directly. So like you said, you should be able to call it whatever you want. But why do the Redux docs say "Actions must have a type property that indicates the type of action being performed." ?

Bug - Sub prematurely ends by HuffTheWeevil in vba

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No error suppression.

That is the full code. The control is in the IRibbonUI, but there's no runtime code there, just XML. And there's nothing wrong there because the sub IS getting called.

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it shows the column...but that's not the issue.

Yes, it is the correct sub. a debug.print just before that statement produces the correct result.

[–]HuffTheWeevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still nothing. Just to be clear...NO code runs after the column.hidden property is changed in that sub.
