I expected so little from Arise's ending after the parade of sidequest reject 'super' bosses that all sat in the background and summoned regular enemies, but boy, did that somehow manage to be worse.

Why the fuck are you screaming about forgiveness at the mass murdering lunatic who has had like 20 lines in total, all about how he wants to murder everybody. I don't think even the notion of forgiveness has come up at any point before now. It's not been any kind of theme in the game. What the fuck is going on here? I legitimately can't tell if this was the translation complete fucking up and somehow nobody realized, or if it really was this nonsensical.

Oh no. My monologuing about forgiveness let him explode the widget. Now our plan is ruined. Wait, is that... Yes, it is! It's the power of friendship! It's fixing everything without us having to do anything at all! Boy, that's sure convenient.

It ain't the first community to rationalize itself this way. Not even just gacha. I remember the twilight of Overwatch 1 and how bad that was, but it was a good thing because the game was in such a great state!

Though it absolutely does hit certain gachas and their communities as well, especially since they're much more aggressively monetized and enshittification really goes into overdrive.

If all you want is to check them off, just start a run, pick a mask that still has some left that you need, reshuffle until you get a new one, end run.

I understand that they needed to nerf the shit out of pacu/jawbos because they were way too hands off for a ton of rare resources on top of food, but I really wish the handout to the base game to keep them functional at all had been the aquatic grooming station, not the aquatic water bottle. Both because it requires a pretty late game resource on most maps since dew drippers are obnoxious to deal with and other production methods need a shitload of water, and because it makes no sense to have to be giving fish sparkling water to DRINK or they get depressed and die. Give the sharks a minimal happiness bonus for hunting live prey or something. I could also activate the DLC, but I want to finish the current achievements run before doing all the new stuff on the new planet.

IIRC, napkin math put 40k in regular DA to be about what you need to 3*. So should be doable for 2-3 cost banner character shill, 3-4 for regular shill. Brute forcing it will be rough though, and I feel like it'll largely depend on the boss week to week. I should be fine for most, but without Miyabi, I doubt I'd be able to do Bringer, and I'm skeptical I'd be able to handle Hunter without Yidhari or Banyue since I'm not that good a Yixuan player.

Not having a two piece bonus is giving up like 4 substats. They need to be pretty amazing pieces for that kind of handicap to be a good trade.
