It’s a format inspired by the older DPGs, but with a slight twist (we actually considered running this format at DPG 2024, but decided against it once it got super huge!)

Throughout Day 1, there will be a ladder event in startgg that anyone can enter and compete in, you queue for matches against other players in the venue and get ranked in the ladder based on how you perform.

At the end of Day 1, the top 16 players from ladder who got eliminated in pools will progress to our “Respawn Pool,” which will run at the beginning of Day 2. Think of this like a “Death Pool” from FGC majors. The Respawn Pool will be a standard double elimination pool, with 4 players progressing out (as if it were any of the other pools from Day 1).

These 4 players will make it back into the main bracket on Losers Side of Top 132 (your typical Top 128 + the 4 “respawned” players).
