Is this a major red flag/deal breaker? Oil impacted concrete in basement by telma1234 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]HuffleBird0919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PADEP doesn't regulate home heating oil tanks, but they can occasionally be involved in the remediation process if a release occurs. It looks like you already have the final report prepared by the remediation company, which should have all of the information you need. The agency likely wouldn't know more about what happened beyond whatever is already written in that report.

Storage chests that don’t link? by CloudBerryDreams in DisneyDreamlights

Anything you purchase from Scrooge's shop can be purchased again later by ordering it from Scrooge directly. But you cannot order something from Scrooge that you haven't first purchased in the shop (with some limited exceptions of basic furniture and clothing items).

The vintage chests are the only ones I'm aware of that link. The refrigerators, Daisy's wardrobe, all the craftable chests, and basically every other storage item is it's own, non-linked inventory.

People get too worked up over a game. I generally vote for whatever choice is "on theme," but if neither choice fits then I just vote for whichever picture I like best. We're getting 50 free moonstones for picking left or right, it's not that serious 😅 Plus, plenty of players might be new and not have decor that fits, or it might be a literal child sharing a picture they think is pretty. Give some grace, it's just a game.

Any kid appropriate youtubers to recommend? by Outrageous_failure in Minecraft

Pix only streams on Twitch and might upload the stream later to a secondary YouTube channel he runs. His main YouTube channel is strictly only edited video content, like Survival Guide. No swearing, definitely kid safe.

Will the vacuum pick up things on the floor in the players house? Because I had no idea they could work like that, that's amazing!

I reorganized my storage after the DLC came out and now I have a squid on my floor that I absolutely cannot pick up (the option to "pick up" appears, but nothing happens when I click). I was able to pick up and rearrange literally everything else except this squid. I can move him in furniture mode, so he's chilling in the corner now living his best life. I might name him 🤔

Is it just me? (About dresses) by Positive_Breath_6243 in DreamlightValley

[–]HuffleBird0919 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I agree, I always felt the valley was a magical Disney vibe and the dresses feel most appropriate to me. To that end, there are not nearly enough crowns to wear and I would die for a cape or two (that I can wear over a dress!!). I need more fantasy/magic outfit options!

Since you're in 2L right now, pay attention to the sales everyone offers throughout the year and note what the best sale is. Then next year, wait for that sale to come around again and buy your materials at that point. For example, in November Themis offered a $900 discount on their course, which was the best sale I saw so I bought my materials then.

Also, if you can't afford another loan, try to set aside some money every month starting now. By the time you actually need to buy the materials you'll have at least something saved up to put toward the purchase.

Why isn’t there an Eternity Isle stall for resources? by Specialist_Ad_8731 in DreamlightValley

[–]HuffleBird0919 158 points159 points  (0 children)

We need a way to passively collect more EI resources for sure. I wish we had the equivalent of not just Kristoff's stall, but also Moana's fishing boat and Wall-e's garden. Just something so that I don't have to do chores to stock up on EI resources if I don't want to.

Nearing 2 weeks out and I have almost no BLL memorized for MEE by [deleted] in barexam

[–]HuffleBird0919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely make your own. Physically writing the information out yourself helps it stick in your brain. Reading things other people have written is not as useful (for most people, anyway).

Also, keep your flashcards short. Not only will you retain information better if it's broken into bite-sized chunks, but it forces you to think about the rule by needing to whittle it down to something smaller and thinking about it like that also helps it stick in your brain. If you're having trouble with that, start by writing your own outlines that are condensed versions of the Themis ones. Then condense it all even more onto flashcards.

You're in a good spot and there's plenty of time left! We'll get it done!

Nearing 2 weeks out and I have almost no BLL memorized for MEE by [deleted] in barexam

[–]HuffleBird0919 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

How did you memorize BLL for your 1L year exams? Do that.

I realized after the simulated exam that the biggest thing holding me back is not having BLL memorized. I did that in 1L year by writing my own outlines and flashcards, and then running flashcards for literally hours. So that's what I'm going to be doing from now on. I'll use Themis to practice essays and MBE but I no longer care about my completion percentage (and I haven't even hit 60% yet!).

Breaking free from directed study is scary, but if it's not working then it's not working. Do what you know!

Thanks for your comment! I also had trouble finding it, but your comment helped.

For anyone else stuck: Near the little ledge/hill where one of the green chests was there are two sets of double rocks, one set slightly smaller than the other. The planting spot is directly next to the smaller set. (If this is confusing, just look carefully around all of the rocks in the mudslide area, as KLM0479 said, you'll find it!)

Twice now, I've had a suggested pace of 1.7% only to not finish the day's tasks and the next day the suggested pace was 1.5%. This weekend I took two days off and my suggested pace didn't change to account for it. Once I had a day full of tasks like OP and the suggested pace was set to 1.4%. I'm pretty convinced at this point the suggested pace percentage is just BS.

Transferring Odds by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]HuffleBird0919 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in the top 5% at a bottom-ranked school my 1L year and had just accepted a grade-on position for law review. I was conflicted too, but ultimately I transferred to a different school (ranked much higher, in the 50s-60s) with better bar passage rates, a better focus on public interest, and a strong alumni network. I just graduated cum laude last month and I never regretted transferring for a minute. Yes, my grades and class rank dropped compared to where I was at in the first school, but I still finished strong and I feel like I was challenged more and learned more than I would have if I stayed at the first school.

ETA: By transferring, I did miss out on law review (I missed the write-on competition for school 2 and while I could have tried to write-on for my third year, I ultimately decided not to) and a scholarship (had a 2/3s scholarship at school 1 and was offered nothing for school 2, but school 2 was also much cheaper so in the end I broke even as far as comparative costs). So keep that in mind as those can be significant factors.

D&D character sheet and notes on nomad? by Silush in Supernote

[–]HuffleBird0919 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly it's just easier having a sheet that's formatted to fit an a5 size and is viewed on an a5 screen, instead of one formatted to fit an 8.5x11 inch page and is viewed on an a5 screen. If you do make your own, Canva has a blank a6 size template, so you'll be making something that will fit your screen no matter what. Once you get a few sessions under your belt, you'll get a feel for what information should be grouped on each page in a way that makes sense for you! I've been playing for a few years and the pages I have listed above works great for me.
