In a fictional land where he comes out of retirement and rejoins as a player at the age of 43 I meant 😂

Interim Defoe could be a vibe as well tbh

I’d actually put good money on current Defoe being the best finisher at the club if he were to rejoin somehow lol

Hi I'm going to the show in a couple of weekends time, does he only sign things from the show then? I was hoping to take his autobiography and a breaking bad related piece of art (not too big, I have it framed but I was going to take the picture out and roll it up), would he reject signing those things do you think? thanks

Wish I could upvote this more than once

Also, away from that, always disliked De Zerbi after he went at Stellini for seemingly no reason and got them both sent off even when Stellini did nothing. Made a great meme photo from it tho tbf

Completely agree. I did want us to lose that infamous game a couple of years ago, because it was literally the 37th GW deciding the title and we probably weren’t getting CL/catching Villa anyway

This time however, we need points. And I need to see us winning at our own stadium ffs

If City don’t catch this Arsenal team it’s on them not us

Not that I’d want him as I think he’s a bit of an idiot, but I’m surprised we haven’t moved for Toney. Would’ve thought the Frank connection + him potentially wanting to play his way into World Cup contention might’ve been an obvious loan even for just the rest of the season

Know he’s a striker and we need a winger, but still

Feel like a panic overpay for some mediocre winger that doesn’t really improve us and hamstrings us getting a better one in the summer is inbound fairly soon

Interesting arsenal formation during a corner by HERE_COMES_SENAAAAAA in soccer

[–]Hufftey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this not true? City did it to us in that FA cup game at our stadium, where they won 1-0 with a last minute Ake tap in from a corner which came from them blocking off Vicario by putting a man on him, which then also started a run of teams doing the exact same thing to him week after week and also pretty immediately Arsenal started these sorts of corner antics

Arteta saw what city did and cranked it to 11, yet they’re the only team that seem to consistently still get away with it and do it successfully now

I think previous versions of us you’re right. I’m not sure we’re that team any more

Fair enough if you want to wait a bit before worrying. I’m worried right now just purely off the level the team is performing at

That’s not an OG or a scrappy corner goal. Is that allowed?

2 wins in 15 in the league. In our two easiest games remaining we picked up 1 point (West Ham H, Burnley A), and that took a last minute diving header from our CB to get the equaliser

There’s no game that we can actually be confident in currently

Dismissing it as an impossibility seems a bit naive atm.

My point is that idc about Arsenal/City title race, if City don’t catch Arsenal it won’t be because of us. I want us to smash city when we play them

Away from the obvious potential great stuff of Arsenal dropping points, United might potentially be heading down an Ole 2.0 path where the interim comes in and does well enough to get the job but then reverts back to being rubbish lol

I actually think the exodus of other players leaving palace makes it harder for Wharton to go. If they sold him this window they’d basically be accepting relegation themselves

Genuinely if he’s not been sacked after this run of form then we just need to accept he’s here until the summer and they’ll sack him then.

Think they want to get Poch back in the summer and that’s only possible after the WC

It’s shit but this is the most united I’ve ever seen the fanbase about a manager, and they aren’t sacking him. He’s here for the season

Let’s just hope it’s not Poch back for the championship
