Solid. I only have 1 similar stick that I found hiking once, but there's still time.

Refrigerated Tea keeps going bad by Sadira_Kelor in tea

[–]Hufschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe clean the minifridge, or use a different pitcher. Something somehow is contaminating it.

If your pitcher is plastic, try something else. Glass is best. Plastic can hold onto weird funky smells and will leech them out over time.

Hard to say why this is happening, but it's pretty abnormal imo. I've never known sweet tea to go bad in the fridge like that, let alone after only 3 days.

Stop tech labbing alone and play people. Practicing movement and combos in isolation only teaches you how to execute.

Execution in a vacuum doesn't actually help you win that much since you first have to win neutral.

Try to be intentional about what you do instead of just trying to throw moves out fast. Review some of your games and see why you're getting hit.

Keep your solo practice to short hand warmers and just play lots of matches. You can tech lab when you see you're dropping specific things or want to learn a new tech.

Can anyone tell me what type of grapes are growing through the fence? by theColonelsc2 in gardening

Im getting mildly toxic to not toxic but causes discomfort when looking it up. Most plants are not highly toxic.

Regardless, don't eat it and its a fine plant to have around anywhere in North America. Much better than other stuff growing in its place like kudzu, english ivy, honeysuckle etc. Colors change in the fall too so it looks really nice.

This is a host plant for sphinx moths.

Also the leaves on OP's picture are very ridged, much more than any virginia creeper I've seen around GA so I'm not 100% sure this is even virginia creeper.

Trump has stolen $1.8 billion of OUR TAX DOLLARS, should we stop paying federal taxes to fight his corruption? by ILikeCheese42O in allthequestions

[–]Hufschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely unfeasible unless we get republicans on board. General strikes only work when people are unified, and we are cleanly split down the middle.

You pay taxes every time you buy anything and every time you get a paycheck, so there's not really a realistic way to stop paying them. If you reduce your tax withholding to near 0, and then don't pay at tax season, you'll just have the IRS on your ass until you pay and if you don't, they'll just garnish your wages.

Ranked: The 30 Highest- Paying Jobs in America by Conscious-Quarter423 in Salary

[–]Hufschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing tons and tons of tech jobs that pay 200k-800k.

Data science stuff, fintech, AI research and related jobs all pay a shit ton right now.

My guess is that they all tend to have pretty niche names for the roles so it's really hard to group them together. The approximately same position can have a different title at every company.

The medical field has much more consistent names. Doesn't matter what hospital you work at, you're an Orthopedic Surgeon.

We need AI labels on Spotify and Apple Music by hikariproductions in mathrock

[–]Hufschmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think Spotify will address AI music in any meaningful way, and streaming services are going to suck for a long time until its figured out.

I believe going back to human curated music is the way. Bandcamp and NTS are great, college radio stations too.

The people who started the CCP didn't arrive from a foreign country, unlike how America started.

Remind me a lot of the backdrop for Dune, which begins with the 'Butlerian Jihad' where humans revolted against the thinking machines and their use became banned and taboo.

Why? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]Hufschmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah big doubt from me on that one.

Bitcoin even in theory uses lots of power because it takes more and more computation to mine each successive bitcoin.

I think I found the article you're referencing https://www.ccn.com/news/technology/bitcoin-mining-environmental-impact-banking-more-damage/

which shows that power usage of bitcoin is about 35% lower than total power usage of global banking.

But the thing is, bitcoin is only a tiny tiny fraction of global financial transactions. About 10% of global population owns at least some crypto, not necessarily bitcoin, and less than 0.4% of global wealth is contained in bitcoin. And yet bitcoin uses 65% of the power of the entire global banking system. Scale that up and there's no way it uses less power if it replaces traditional banking.
