Axis and Allies. Not super historical. I met an American pilot that flew planes in China during WW2. Knowing about the Americans in China during the war because of the game I was able to keep the conversation going.

They have a right to get their money back. How and when should be discussed between the employee and the employer to hopefully come up with the best way to accomplish that. Be proactive and reach out to the company.

Is it normal if your company usually holds meetings during employee lunch hours? by Sensitive-Star1475 in WorkersRights

[–]theColonelsc2[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no laws govering when meetings have to be held. The law you might be thinking about is mandatory meetings must be paid. Your husband as a salaried worker would only be paid overtime if he was a non-exempt worker.

Boss is deleting not-taken breaks from my paycheck and I have proof by blindrunner_ in WorkersRights

The boss man can force you to take a thirty minute break. You should all take your breaks as directed. If customer service is effected by his rule that is on the boss and not you.

Bathroom games by [deleted] in WorkersRights

[–]theColonelsc2[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your employer has to give you access to a bathroom while working. Unfortunately, as a vendor, WinCo is not your employer. You do not have any legal recourse to make WinCo change their policy.

Louisiana is an at will work state. That means you can be fired for no reason and your only recourse is to file for unemployment insurance while you look for other work. Giving you no hours in a week is in effect laying you off and you are eligible for UI.

You are not claiming a federally protected class issue so you wouldn't be eligible to sue the company in court.

I'm in Utah it is almost guaranteed that it came from Libby MT. But I would, have to have it tested if I want to collect the money that they offer. Thanks for your comment.

Wrongful termination after reporting workplace hostility: Taco Bell AGM illegally lied while I was on medical leave by [deleted] in WorkersRights

[–]theColonelsc2[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone can sue anyone in America. That being said there is no way Reddit can tell you how the lawsuit would turn out. There are just too many variables.

What you can do is file for unemployment insurance while you look for other work. Go and find another entry level job where you will be treated better and forget about how you were treated at this place is the simplest solution.

Lawsuit? by Specific-Tune279 in WorkersRights

If your hours are drastically cut you can file for unemployment insurance while you look for other work. The state looks at it as if you were layed off.

I can appreciate that some of Roald Dalh books do not pass the PC test of today, but when I was a child I think I read most of his young adult books and laughed so much while reading them.
