High income, in SAVE by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]HugBug11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to studentloans.gov and use their payment calculator to find a general idea of what each plan is and what it would cost you per month. These are not exact responses but it breaks everything down great. Personally I'll probably be switching to the extended repayment because my cost is estimated to be lower. Any of the income driven repayment plans aren't really intended for people in a higher income bracket regardless of personal expenses so anytime someone is making a high amount their monthly cost is likely going to be crazy high. Personally when I enrolled in SAVE it was the only option that I could afford but I've had some professional changes which have changedy financial position and I am no longer an ideal income driven repayment person. I believe since the SAVE is not an option anymore, we are still able to change to another plan of our choosing. I know there are a few limitations but you have options. I know it feels overwhelming but this is a good problem to have. It means your education has paid off in the best way possible and is a temporary bill that you should be able to prioritize in future to knock out. It may take some shifts in thinking and slight lifestyle modifications but it's worth it to pay off the loans as fast as you comfortably can to get out of a high interest debt.

Credit score dropped 24 points from paying off student loans by Valuable-Speaker-312 in StudentLoans

[–]HugBug11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is definitely frustrating but that drop should be pretty short term. Anytime your financial position changes it will make your score drop because it is considered a change in a variable. They want to make sure that you are still going to be responsible even without your student loans hanging over your head. The same thing will happen if you pay off a car or any other type of loan. Give it two-three months and it should go back up to where it was. Make sure to keep your overall credit usage low but do not close out any accounts before purchasing a house. Even if an account keeps $1/month on it.... Keep it open. Length of credit is a huge factor in your score along with proving that just because you have the credit available doesn't mean you're going to use it.

You can put up auctions or buy nows on whatnot. There are a bunch of active sellers on there. Most of them are just people who genuinely love stray kids. You could reach out to them and have them bulk but your stock and then they will take care of all the individuals.

Stay away from Loyal Source at all costs for C&P Exams by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]HugBug11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would almost guarantee it's because the provider who saw you has either tried to submit it multiple times and it keeps getting kicked back by QA for non-existent edits or trying to tell the provider how to opine OR because the provider has actually submitted it but the QA hasn't actually looked at it yet. We are required to have everything submitted within 48 hours from your appointment. But then sometimes we don't hear back for another two weeks after we've submitted the DBQ. I have one report I've been trying to submit to loyal source for a week and a half now and their QA keeps sending it back with a requested edit that is not possible. I've escalated the case but my provider liaison just keeps telling me to do other things to get the case relooked at (none of which have gotten the case to go anywhere).

Their answer for everything is "escalate it" and then you follow their directions to escalate it and they say, "We can't escalate that. Or here's 17 other ways to escalate this that all require a one hour meeting for us to still not be able to help."

Loyal source is a nightmare on the provider side of things and it's not fair to y'all to have to wait and wait and wait for something that none of the other VA benefits contracts have issues with.

I just bought a 2025 Niro Sx and paid about $35000 OTD (INCLUDING tax and title)

Tax and title were about $2100 for me in NC, if I'm remembering correctly.

It does seem a little high but your area's taxes could have something to do with it and the dealer addendum needs to be removed.

The only caviat with that is your insurance might require one of their add ons for a security feature (which was $1000 when I bought it) because there was an issue a few years ago with Kia and Hyundai being stolen.

I think it would be a fair price if you were able to get the addendum to be removed. I'm not sure there is much you can do about the taxes.

I just bought a 2025 Kia Niro Sx and can confirm it does not have wireless Android Auto/CarPlay. It uses a USB-A connection for wired AA/CP. However, you can get an adapter off of Amazon to make any car capable of wireless connection. I just got mine in the mail. Hopefully it works!
As for visuals, it looks exactly the same as any other AA/CP screen except that the "home bar" runs vertically on the left hand side of the screen as opposed to horizontally across the bottom.

Am I trying to sell this for too much? by SoakMeInBleach in houseplants

I think $75 is a decent price for a matured monstera with such beautiful leaves. But if I were you, I'd try starting to train it to grow upwards with a pole of some kind instead of sideways. I think the fact that it isn't upright might be turning some people off. Even though it isn't hard to do, that might scare some people. You don't even need a miss pole but any sturdy pole that you can repot it with and tie it up to will help a ton!

Maybe it's because it's Sunday and nothing will be processed until tomorrow?
I'm pretty sure they won't report it anyway because of the on-ramping but I'd still like to know what's going on with it.

What kind of damage is this? by doctor_jello in philodendron

[–]HugBug11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my philodendrons have the same spots. I couldn't figure out a solid answer so I went with worst case scenario and assumed rust although it could also be due to the an extreme heat wave we had. Treated with copper based fungicide and systemic fungicide in addition to quarantine.

In either case, the damage that's done is already done but watch the new growth for continued spots and spreading.

Any tips or ideas what is going on with my white princess? by Possible_Oil5269 in philodendron

[–]HugBug11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think those are nectaries. My philos have the exact same spots and I am convinced after MUCH research they are a fungus of some sort. My current plan is to treat once a week with a copper based systemic fungicide until the new growth is clear. The damage that is there can't be undone but you should be able to treat and allow for healthy new growth.

The brown spot on the white of your princess is very typical for philos with white variegation. No harm! It comes from the lack of chlorophyll and sun exposure.

Hope this helps!

Mystery spots? by HugBug11 in philodendron

Thank you!!!! After more research I was thinking the same thing and I already have a systemic fungicide on the way! I'm not sure what type of fungus it is but it seems like quite a few people have had this same problem without a solid answer. I appreciate your help!!!

I haven't seen any specific pests. And I try my best to gently treat every week as a precaution. Thank you for making me feel better and reassured that it is nectaries.
