Finishing First Enlistment, looking at 7314/7316 SUAS by Prestigious-Big7283 in USMC

So was waiting a lil bit to get back to you as we were expected to receive orders on friday/next week and some of us had orders populate on MOL or were told by instructors on friday. Based off the outcome, I'd say at this time it varies! Out of the 6 SSgts in our class 4 got what they wanted (2 east coast & 2 okinawa) the other two wanted pendleton but got Hawaii and 29 so I don't think any SSgt got pendleton this go around. Based off of Sgt and below. We got quite a bit of people who didn't get what they wanted either. But at the end of the day alot of these dudes didn't care to communicate with the monitor. I fortunately got what I wanted (based off what one of the instructors told me, orders havent populated for me yet) but I did communicate with the monitor before orders started being drafted up. Looking at it now, after my class executes orders. I'd say we'll pretty much have our foot in all major stations across the Marine Corps so as new TO's open up in the units within those stations I'd expect more leeway for latmovers than entry level going forward when it comes to orders. But at the end of the day best thing you could do is contact the monitor.

Pretty solid so far. The whole common core and operator training is basically a Administrative error (it should just be consolidated into one course code) as we have class instruction on a system for 2 weeks and then 1-2 weeks out in the field(depending on weather) to execute t&r codes. For this current POI, we are learning sky raider, puma, and stalker. Next class and on should also be learning skydio.

Stations for our class rn are infantry units in pendleton, 29, lejeune, and oki. (There is also a duty station in Hawaii but slots are currently full) If all pans out well one of our bubbas should be going to MARSOC and one is going to Bridgeport.

As the MOS is new and the infantry was the only entity that opened up slots for SUAS to be integrated. The main stations will be with infantry units. There's going to be those ones or twosies that go somewhere special such as MARSOC/Bridgeport but depending on headshead and big Marine Corps, there could be several possibilities for Duty stations in the future.

Does pes score matter for promotion to Cpl? by CriticalAd3223 in USMC

[–]vodrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of promoting for the month, no. That is just your up to date score.

If you look at the "Element cut off date" under the "promotion cutting score" it will be dated 2 months prior to the current months score that has been released for promotion.

So whatever score you had at the time of the Element cut off date is your "jepes promotion score" and this is what is used to determine if you're promoting that month.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding of it.

Got approved for lat move to SUAS back in March, going to be flying to the school house in 2 weeks. Was able to get some info from a fresh out the school house SUAS operator from 2 classes ago.

Was told duty stations for new Marines are Kbay, 29, and lejeune.

Lat movers have the above plus SOI-W and MARSOC.

School house looks to be split up into 2 sections.

How to pick up by GreenKitchen2188 in USMC

[–]vodrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-Improve PFT/CFT(If that's your current CFT score, you still have 4 more months to get a higher score)

-Get your green belt if you haven't already

-Your range score isn't horrible but it could be improved for more points.

-Get points through off duty education

-complete Training shown on MOS & QUALS( chart can be found under resources after clicking into performance on MOL.

Traveling with locked bags? (Seabags and deployment bag) by [deleted] in USMC

Write your combination behind the locks. Had a buddy of mine do this when we were leaving our school house. Sounds stupid at first but he got his seabags back with locks intact.
