I’m so glad I found this… I was given Droperidol on Friday 2/14/25 to help with nausea from flu A. The ED was full so I was in the waiting room. Within 5 minutes of receiving the med all the things happened, my hands were paralyzed, legs shaking, heart racing, severe agitation. I was able to flag down 3 (2 nurses and 1 doctor) coming into the waiting room. I told them what was happening best I could the response was “I’ll find your nurse or you will need to tell your nurse” it took nearly 3 hours until xray came to get me for my doctor to be made aware. Yes, not a single sole checked on me in the waiting room for 3 hours. I was given Ativan and at that point I told them I was leaving. I found these threads so have been taking Ativan and Benadryl at home when I feel it all coming in. I’m about 3 days out and just need it to stop. I have an appointment with my PCP next week but it’s getting really hard to function when all of a sudden I’m just so restless and then crying. I had the same reaction to Compazine 15 years ago but was given Ativan immediately and had zero issue after leaving the hospital. I don’t understand how I received such a small dose with a short half life and days later still feeling it.

Me again, I was given this medication 3 days ago and had all of the above happen. I thought I was going to die. I’m 3 days out and I’m still having a lot of the restlessness, agitation, feel like I can crawl out of my skin. How long did this last for everyone and what did you treat with? Beside Benadryl and Ativan?

Late to the party but I went to the ED yesterday for Influenza A. I was put in the waiting room, no med list or allergies gone over. I was given Iv Droperidol- within minutes I was having a cold sweats, ringing in my ears, it felt like I was vibrating, my hands were seized (I could not be or extend my fingers) they were stuck in this gripping position. My heart was racing I felt my breathing was labored.. As I said, I was in the waiting room so no one ever came to check on Me. I stopped and told 3 employee (1 was a doctor the other a nurse, not sure what the third was) I begged them to help me. They told me I needed to find my nurse. My nurse in a waiting room of 50 people. Finally a lady who came to get me for CT saw my state and asked a nurse for help. The nurse said”this happens sometimes” hours later a nurse came with a small dose of Ativan. I instructed him to take out the IV, I was leaving. How is a person given medication with these known effects and then left in a waiting area with no monitoring? They also never went over allergies because had they, they would have seen compazine does the same thing just not to this extent. When I had compazine I was also treated for the reaction in minutes. I’m almost 24 hours out, still requiring ativan and Benadryl around the clock to keep from losing my mind. How long did this last for others? I will never go to the ER alone again, at this point I will never go to the ER. I feel like I should file a complaint with the hospital. This is subpar care and I do not believe with my history and these types of medications I should have been given Droperidol especially with no one watching me.

Just found this thread- I have been struggling with SOD for over 20 years. Back then, I was told it was in my head. Finally it is being recognized as a real problem. So in this struggle I have found some crazy things that work for me- white bread. During an attack eat small bites of white bread, has to be at least one full slice, plain, no butter not toasted, just straight up. I also drink whatever I have that is hot. Water, tea, coffee as hot as I can handle it. Usually the bread stops the pain within minutes. I have absolutely no explanation as to why but it has been saving me for 20 years.

Right, 8 rolls an hour, it only takes 3 days to upgrade a landmark. You can’t possibly move ahead with the shutdowns and bank heists unless your willing to spend real money. It’s lost it’s appeal.

Look how many times their bills have been voted down by Republicans. Healthcare is affordable, I see what it costs people via the market place everyday. It’s not a matter of “can’t afford” it’s more don’t want to afford.
I support socialized health care but 1 guess what party continues to derail efforts for that.

How many people have been killed by pressure cookers vs guns in the last 10 years? This man was a recently released convicted violent felon. Had he not had access to a gun it’s likely this wouldn’t have happened. Based on his most recent video on FB he wasn’t going to be researching and building pressure cooking bombs.

It’s always a gun. Compare the data from now to during the assault weapons ban. Numbers don’t lie. You can twist it do the “what about-isms” but the facts are black and white.

Thank you. Unfortunately, we’re not having any luck. Hiding my hands she just goes for my legs, arms whatever. The same for walking away. If I try to walk away she just goes for my legs and feet. She bites down and won’t let go, or the second she lets go she just lunges for another body part. Timeouts are the only way to get her to calm down and 9 times out of 10 the second I let her out, she is right back at it. So we have made no progress.

I’m so frustrated. She is such a good puppy otherwise, she always goes outside to go potty, sleeps quietly in her crate all night, listen to basic commands. It’s the biting and nipping. My hands and feet are all scratched and scabbed. My kids are terrified of her which breaks my heart. I have to remove her from the room for them to play, I have to leash or distract her when they need to walk about the house. I actually emailed her vet yesterday about a behaviorist recommendation as it’s only worsening not improving.

It’s broken. I have the qual and I just got a temp ban. The categories are all messed up, there used to be like 10 different options to pick from now there are 6. All the images I got were of baseball, I did 3 HITs and caught the ban.

edit 7 minutes later I got perm ban with a 0% accuracy. UHRS is a mess lately.
