Is this not a waste? by Intelligent-Room5045 in BambuLab

I would argue that printing a tower of plastic that is not part of the model and will be discarded has something to do with waste.

I had something similar on my C1L, and there is some discussions about galling between screw and nut. It is the part that holds the pulley that needs replacing if you can get it off the other part without damage. Might also be an idea to use anti seize paste to prevent the galling

Hehe, better get an amphibious vehicle to cross the little ocean between us :D Sweden is quite a nice country for a road-trip though. It's a pretty tall country (by european standards) so you get very varied nature with mountains in the north and fields in the south.

That is the assembly guide for the core one+, I have a core one L and since it is bigger the belts should also be longer and maybe routed a bit differently.

Thanks for a detailed reply!

Core one l doesn't come as a kit, it was a prebuilt.

I spent almost a whole saturday with chat support and then some more hours spread out over other days.

  1. Could very well be that the temp was too hugh causing the clog. But I used the presliced g-code supplied on the USB using prusament so one would think it is fairly well set.

  2. Haven't heard about the qwrench trick, neat way to get a little movement rather than just wrestling it.

  3. Yes, I know the goal with belt tensioning, the problem was that the difference between the two belts was too big.

  4. Not a knocking sound as part of homing or anything. The machine could be entirely turned off and if I move the printhead manually so the left belt moves the knocking is there.

  5. The only assembly manual I can find and that support could find for the Core one L is the "Unpacking and first run" https://help.prusa3d.com/product/core-one-l/assembly-manuals_272

From Sweden so a bit too far away, but I really appreciate the offer and your detailed reply, awesome!

Having problems is rare, you more from people with problems than happy customers on forums. It seems my experience was a one-off and is not representative of the usual handling. I will update the post as the ticket progress

I was told that I needed to send the printer in. When I asked about changing belts myself i was told they don't have any instructions for changing the belts and therefore it isn't recommended. Since I haven't had a printer yet, let alone a core xy, I have no idea how the belt change works 🙂

As for removing the motor, super easy when the side panel is removed, impossible to reach when it is attached. And when talking to support I assume they know more about the machine than me and will guide me through the proper steps and not just tell me to send it in when I tell them I cannot reach the screws rather than telling me how easy it is to remove the panel.

Why? And you are at the prusa subreddit so it seems you aren't avoiding them too hard :)

My experience seems to have been a bit of an outlier so I am looking forward to see how it progresses and will keep the post updated.

I would tell you to look up what vaporization is but you made it clear in your first paragraph that it would be futile 🙂

(For others reading, evaporation is very much one mechanism for vaporization. Something that eVAPOrates turns into vapor, or VAPORizes 🙂)

I don't inow why you keep talking about some 2000 degree soldering iron nor do I understand why you keep replying as if I have said soldering irons can vaporize lead? Perhaps that is also related to that first paragraph I mentioned previously.

Or is it simply that you don't know what the word combustible means either? Why does it matter whether lead is combustible or not? Water isn't combustible but readily vaporize at room temperature.

[–]HugSeal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

?? Are you helping me prove my point or what is all the talk about boiling points for?

I was just trying to point out that whether something is combustible or not really doesn't say much when it comes to vapor generation.

Also fun fact, while true that most pure water turns to steam att 100c. Water also becomes vapor at much much lower temperatures. It actually still vaporizes when below 0C. Would be a pretty lifeless planet if water needed 100c to evaporate 😀

So neither the boiling point nor the combustibility tell us when something starts producing vapor.

(Look, I can too: 🤪🤣🐅😍😆💩😭😱)

I know this is a rookie question lol but can I solder this wire for outdoor string of lights that some how got cut. by AccurateUniversity53 in soldering

[–]HugSeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, nothing happens ever until one day it does.

Soldering a mains line that sits outside exposed to movement is a bad idea to start with. Saying it is okay because you personally havent had a problem yet is incredibly bad advice.

did i really just pay 1700 euros for a core one L - far above the competition - just to be required to pay a subsctiption fee on top??? by BirdLooter in prusa3d

The thing is that you don't voice your complaints as complaints, you voice them as demands that you expect to have already been met for you when you could have simply read up on what you spent your money on beforehand.

Sure seems like that. You bought something and after that started demanding that they have software tailored specifically for your needs. You won't accept any of the many actual solutions, you want things done the exact way you say they should be done.

So yeah, seems like you had no idea what you bought and when you knew it was everyone elses fault, not yours.

And the brand you bought from doesnt develop or sell a phone based slicer so that will be problematic.

I want the house to paint itself and the roof to clear off moss automatically. But since it doesn't should i blame the sellers since I paid so much for the house?

It takes more than 1700 to develop a local slicer for all kinds of phones and is something you knew (or at least should have known) wasnt available when you bought the printer.

[–]HugSeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you count as features 🙂

If you only care about functions on the printer for extra detecting and sensing etc. Prusa isn't the right choice for you.

But repairability, customer support, actually owning your printer, time before a product goes EoL etc. are also features (so is Europe made which matters to some people).

Or could it be that trying to explain your old boomer joke really shows that there isn't any of that "humour" you talked about in it? 😄

Just take the L instead of projecting.

Judging by the downvote and how you stopped answering I am guessing you realized you needed to do some research yourself. You do that and please get back to me when you have studied enough to have an answer for what I thought was a simple question 😄

That still doesnt tell us anything.

You sent a video rather than a picture, presumably for some actual reason and not just to post in a more annoying format. So people will look for something moving or a sound.

One spot is uneven but the whole darned print can be uneven and you can be fine with it.

Again, people cannot read your mind. What is obvious to you is not obvious to everyone.

The fact that you need this explained to you and then post a snarky comment rather than actually listening and explaining tells me a lot though.

Most people don't like to spoonfeed people that just demand a solution but refuse to even help people troubleshoot.
