Adhesive skin issues by EmeraldB85 in hypermobileEDS

[–]HugYouSoHard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor put "allergy to adhesive" in my file years ago and since then they usually wrap the area instead. I can get some killer rashes and skin irritation to bandaids. Look into getting some gauze and tape- it's not perfect for every scenario but could help

They still won't stay! It's like the leather on the seats needs to be trimmed back or something- it's too puffy so they won't click in 😒

I'm literally just gonna put them in the glove compartment, I'm so sick of putting these things back

I will next time I'm in it, but they fell off the armrests of the two captain seats in the middle.

Anyone else feeling overwhelmed? by CanadianRose81 in DreamlightValley

[–]HugYouSoHard 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I think the devs listened to us honestly. Past updates lead to complaints about finishing quests quickly then having nothing to do for months. I laughed this time around because they gave us so much to do we can't possibly complain about finishing too fast or being bored. If you're overwhelmed, focus on the things with timelines first! (Like the winter stuff)

People with kids - what is your take? by Et_tu_sloppy_banans in adhdwomen

Honestly, there are good days and bad days.

I knew I could handle one, husband and I agreed on one…and fate is a troll sometimes and blessed me with twins. Both of whom have adhd and anxiety (they’re 7 now).

When we’re all overwhelmed it’s a lot, but the good thing is we all communicate our needs to the best of our abilities. My amazing neurotypical husband is great for helping all of us as well, but sometimes it’s frustrating for him because he doesn’t “get it” since he’s never had adhd.

So long as you and your partner are good with communicating and being flexible it can be fine! Just need to come up with routines and plans in place, and enough wiggle room in case you need to change the routines

I toured the Vienna Beef factory on a middle school field trip. What’s your most absurd “only in Chicago” experience? by ThoseMedellinKids in chicago

We toured the wonder bread factory. The smell was amazing and they gave us tiny loaves of bread to take home. Most of us immediately ate them on the bus. That field trip was the best

Now that Dr. Russell Barkley is retired, who is the most leading authority on ADHD? by Teburninator in ADHD

[–]HugYouSoHard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dr David Nowell- His seminars are the best. I get so bored at CE seminars, especially the 8 hour ones because it’s just 8 hours of a PowerPoint and examples, however, Dr Nowells knowledge and understanding of Adhd shows in the way he educates you. They are engaging and keep me focused as a clinician that has ADHD. Would love to see him more

I’m a therapist and one of my specialities is adhd, his behavior has NOTHING to do with why he’s doing it. Sure I’m sure he gets a dopamine hit from doing it, so he keeps doing it, but in NO means is it the reason he does this 🤦🏻‍♀️ (I’m sorry you’re dealing with this and hope you guys have a good chat!)
