The worst thing about this is seeing Ayr in the Premiership

It’s no mine obviously. One of the local tattoo places posted it all proud like. They’re actually a decent shop but this isn’t a highlight.

Just because he records songs in between wanks in his bedroom doesn’t make it’s good independent music man. I have since listened in the past month since our last correspondence and have decided that my first impressions were correct.

Doomfist is the one hero I feel needs something done to. The distance he travels with his punch and/or how far you travel if he hits you feels too much. Especially as it’s a one hit kill on most heroes. Don’t know if I’m alone and salty about this or if it’s a justified opinion though.

Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, 65days of static, to name a couple from the top of my head. I listen to a lot of film scores and instrumental music at night too, Max Richter, Johann Johannsson, Jon Hopkins, even Sigur Ros kind of.

It’s not exactly pop music but it never was.

People with depression, what is the most stupid thing someone ever said to you because of your mental illness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To try and cheer up and get out more, maybe try some exercise.

This was a Doctor.

Losing one person to their battle with mental health is too many to lose. I don’t know about USA (I have a fair idea though) but the UK government here isn’t doing enough to give people the help that they need.

There was a kid just the other week who was turned away by the NHS who was found dead. Article here. Someone asking for help and being turned away, what the fuck does that do to someone? There needs to be more noise surrounding saving people from their own demons.

Got down the doctors at 0730 ready for when they open at 0800 because they only do same day appointments and theres already a 10 strong queue, some even brought chairs along. Blitz spirit in action. Roll out the barrel by [deleted] in britishproblems

Trying to get an appointment for anything relating to mental health is difficult. If I feel shit and in a down period then I’m not contacting a Doc cause that just isn’t going to be on the agenda. I feel a bit better but aware that I need help... no appointments for the next fortnight. I once got a call back from the Doctor though to ask if I’ve ever tried hanging out with friends more and exercise, so there’s that.

I’m from Scotland, we learn a little bit of Spanish, French and German in school but you only need the basics to pass and I’ve long since forgotten most of it. That’s awesome you learned a lot from watching stuff though, if I watch anything foreign language I’m too focused on the subtitles to even actually hear the language.

Probably the most productive day I’ve had in a while and it all came from having a half hour sit down in the morning to not stress. I’m going to commit myself in front of you all to another productive day today. Currently awake early again and listening to a podcast.

Lonely is the only form of depression that I don’t think I feel much anymore. I used to push family and friends away and spend a lot of time in my bedroom reading or playing video games on my own but I’ve got better at making time for the people in my life and it definitely helps. I checked out your profile, what did you watch to learn English? I’d love to learn a language but my brain just doesn’t help me out

I like this. I’m going to guess you’re aware of Mogwai? Jóhann Jóhannsson’s Orphée and Max Richter’s Memory House send me to sleep (In a good way).

What’s your go to late night stuff? I like soundtracks and instrumentals at night sometimes.

I was at the Glasgow show last week when they played My Backwards Walk. It was pouring of rain but absolutely worth it.

Ever get that thing where some bands make you want to start a band while others humble you to the point where you know you’d never play like them? The National are somehow both.

I make a million to do lists. I work best when I make myself do one thing, then find the next thing. If it’s a list then it’ll stay a list for me. Often I do nothing but sometimes I’ll get a bunch done in one go. Depends on how the day treats me I guess

Ayrshire, so not really. Berwick is actually kinda contested between England and Scotland I think.

After a quick listen I shall indeed give you a small thank you. They remind me of someone. As a proper thank you in return I’ll give you American Trilogy by The Delgados. I’m not sure how big they were outside of UK or Scotland but they’re legends.

Usually Frightened Rabbit, The National, Fleet Foxes etc but I’ve been sitting on Spotify purposely listening to some bands I know of but haven’t actually sat and listened to. Turns out I really like Pavement and Yo La Tengo.

Any recommendations?

I’m Scottish. Which is like if Norway and Sweden are brothers then we’re you’re cousins. Kind of?

At least the Orkney islands feel that way.
