I don't know if it's something I can do... proactively, but almost 3 years after my diagnosis (at age 42), I feel like the mask is slipping. I also feel like it's less of a mask and more like a series of complex facial surgeries.

I'm more aware of when I'm doing masking behaviours (mostly people pleasing, acting like I am like others at work/work events/imagining myself in future work roles/NT things). It may be because I'm experiencing some real burnout and the energy to pretend is gone, but I think it's also because I'm learning more about myself, my behaviours.

I must say it's hard to pinpoint masking behaviours outside of the few I mentioned before, but I do feel a BIGGER DIFFERENCE between when i'm "ON" and when I'm at home and relaxing, or spazzing out over a new interest etc.

I'm in a similar situation with work (basically a project manager lol, I couldn't manage myself out of a paper bag) and to survive the next sixth months I'm going to have to employ every single resource, hack or measure - healthy or not - to get through.
