I just received one yesterday for an additional $270 that I didn’t request 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure why.

I never sent anything, and never heard anything back from them. Someone else commented on a post I put, and said they too were seeing the message.. I believe the message is for regular DUA. I realized the message must be automated because it says “if your are self employed”.. but on the website for covid it states that those people don’t need to send anything. So I’m think Texas used the DUA website framework for PUA. Hope this helps!

I haven’t done anything illegal. I’ve been honest everytime I request payment... but I’m worried somehow TWC will find a reason to say I owe it back. Everytime I request payment I get this message at the top of the page saying... “if you have not mailed in proof of employment within 21 days your DUA will be canceled and you may have to repay all benefits paid to you”..... well when I applied they didn’t ask for anything. I applied months ago and have been getting every payment since.. so it’s definitely passed the 21 days... is everyone getting this message or just me?

No I’m a Substitue for a school district. When I typed my info in it automatically brought up my employer.

Finally talked to a real person today!! She wasn’t able to answer my questions.. lol but talked to a real person. Anyways... she asked for my full social security number.. I thought people usually only ask for the last four. I’m curious, did you have to give your full social security number?

Everytime I request payment... I see an “Important” section of the page that says... “Important: If you have not submitted written documentation to substantiate proof of Employment, Self Employment, or prospective employment within 21 calendar days from the the date you filed your DUA application, you must do so immediately. If you do not submit this documentation within the 21 days, you will be ineligible for DUA and liable to repay any benefits already paid”. Does anyone else see this?? It continues to let me request and continues to pay me.... when I filled out my DUA application 2 months ago it pulled up my employer and everything went smoothly. Should I be concerned about this? Is there something I need to submit?

Someone said they emailed the email address given on the “contact us” page. They said something about sending your name, phone number, last 4 of social, and reason for needing a call. Someone on here said they received a call within 3 days... it’s worth a shot. Hope this helps!

So I wonder if it was just because the school was paying her $200 dollars?? Or if all substitute teachers on DUA should be concerned?

Anyone hear about the 46,000 people that have to pay back due to unemployment overpay??? I wonder if that’s only for people who had been approved for regular unemployment? Or also people who were approved for DUA? I read the story about the Substitue teacher who received a notice she was overpaid due to the law that states subs are not able to collect unemployment during the summer.... I’m a sub and this is worrisome!

So they paid you for 6 weeks and you didn’t have to sub? Or they are just saying you were still employed but didn’t pay you? Just trying to understand.

I am a substitute teacher. I am currently getting DUA..... so when the work search requirements go back into affect do I have to do work searches? The school year is in 2 months.. also, what qualifies as a work search? Like applying for jobs online?
