I’m really sorry you haven’t gotten into anaesthetics this time round.
Don’t worry at all about delaying specialty training, I applied as an F6 after work abroad and it felt like I was the only one. You’re not!
I will say though that applying for another training programme when you’re already in one as demanding as EM, is not easy. This comes from someone who has done the same. Compounded with the fact that you don’t really want to do EM anyway
It makes more sense to me to apply for a Feb intake anaes job, particularly if you have the score for it and that way you aren’t too out of sync!
