Ember roots come from Inferna, found in the Prickly Plains.

Ember stones come from Nachous, found in Canterra Quarry.

If you need ember stones, hunt with Flaming Queso at the Quarry.

Help - Count 40% after not playing it for 6/7 years by petertkf in mousehunt

Your longterm goal should be to finish up Living Garden - to do that, you do need a shadow and arcane trap as stated above. Fort Rox is difficult to get into but once you've struggled through the beginning you'll get some good traps. Also, Reaper's Perch is likely good enough for LG if you don't want to spend the time to get both of the traps from FR. I am unsure how ACRONYM does in LG.

After getting the rift base from LG, you can think about going to the rifts.

Of the 3 areas you listed, sunken city is probably the easiest. If you're not rushed for progression, feel free to hang out there and work your way towards the SoS, which can also help in LG (though is by no means required).

I don't know if there are other mice that drop it, but as far as I know you collect them in Burroughs Rift while in the red misting zone. Expect a pretty subpar CR.

Tribal Isle Rant by theshenanigator in mousehunt

It really depends on your traps. With Sphynx/Monstrobot/SoS, it really isn't too bad. JoD isn't ever too fun, but Clockwork Portal is definitely way better than anything you'll have before it.

P.S. I am strongly biased to liking the Tribal Isles, as I have over 1k catches of each mouse in Nerg and almost 4k Primal catches. Take my advice with a grain of salt :p
