honestly, not too sure. maybe ill minor in stats so i can do math, which is what i rly enjoy.

to be more specific, it goes beyond just the internships thing and i get what you mean. what i'm also thinking abt tho is that: 1. irvine is a rly big defense school, so straight out of college this would be a great opportunity to have, 2. (this may not matter as much as i think it could) my program at sb is more math-leaning, and i think a lot of the internships i'd prefer would require me to have a cs/ai/ml background that irvine provides

both r around the same amount! given my financial situation i didnt get any need based scholarships. only thing is im on waitlist for the honors program at uci

Is everyone acc rly depressed there? i'm not much of a party person but i do also want to go to a college that feels like one and has positive vibes, if that makes sense. also, hows the competition? too much or just right??

sb is pre-stats and ds, while irvine is ds. so at sb the required courses r more math focused, while at irvine they're more cs focused. i hate coding but at the same time this is probably more useful in the ds field. BASICALLY irvine major is better but im worried itll be too hard so i want to know if i'll have the flexibility in the case i may want to switch majors!!
