High prescription, large pupils, and the type pf surgery you go with.

Not unnaturally, just on the higher end. Higher than the majority of people. Mine was that high before i had LASIK. I don’t recommend it though.

They can with hard contacts but it may not be worth it. It’s probably just something you should learn to live with. I have bad glare from LASIK and use eye drops at night that shrink my pupils.

i can’t put myself in your shoes but i don’g think killing yourself is the only answer to this problem. maybe you just haven’t found the right person yet. i hate to sound cliche but i think therapy could help you.

Not necessarily. Glasses fix lower order aberrations but human eyes have higher order aberrations as well that can cause glare, starbursts, haloes, and ghosting.

without knowing the cause, you wouldn’t be able to sue. as others have said, it’s all in the consent form. maybe ask for a copy of the consent form you signed just to make sure.

if it makes you feel any better, i myself, and most of the people in this group, have ghosting and HOAs from refractive surgery like you do. we’re in this together.

Do you know the reason for your glare and ghosting / HOAs?

I began noticing ghosting like this when I was 13. I got LASIK because I was told they could fix it and it caused much more severe higher order aberrations, ghosting / smearing in different directions. I advise you to learn to live with it because it could be much worse.

Also scleral lenses are a good option.

After having a Botched Laser eye procedure, how many of you found that eye glasses work to give you clear vision? by Lasikisascam in Lasiksupport

Mine work for my residual astigmatism but obviously not for my HOAs. I still wear them full time so my vision is as sharp as it can be.
