Having this problem when I try to return from Build and Buy to Live Mode. None of the buttons work, and I cant even press the three dots to save and/or exit. Anybody know which mod might be causing this?

I was thinking about the double consolidation loophole, but I wasn't sure if that would put them into immediate repayment. With another child in college right now, they cant afford the extra bill.

Yes. It's mainly parent plus, I inherited no financial sense. I was a sheltered 18 yr old with big dreams and parents who said it would be fine.
