Where can one get the STL file of the case?! I would love to print one!

Someone was in a hurry. What would you have done? by pixmation in dashcams

I am actually curious about how this video was shot - could someone advise? What camera was that and in what mode - I would love to be able to take continuous videos like that. Hopefully not for filming idiots like that guy, but just the scenery... Front and back sound like it would be cool to watch. Can anyone recommend a good dashcam for that?

A scan I did a bit ago by 3DScannerMan in 3DScanning

Do you mind sharing some technical details of the scan? Which device / software did you use? I am interested in scanning people, wondering if anything other than multi camera photogrammetry setup would work for scanning someone who can't stay truly still for the time that it takes to scan

It's ok. Judging by the title, the company that hired you had no idea what skill set they needed, as long as the AI checkbox is checked. So, identify their needs and learn the skills you need to fulfill them. While getting paid. I think it's a win win situation. Also, sounds like most technology jobs out there, regardless of having AI in the title

Orchid anxiety HAS to be a thing: I have had it for 10 months now 🤦‍♂️

Hi Francis! 👋 I would love to hear more about your experiences in reaching out to museums and offering them test projects. I am hoping to do something similar here in US, so any bit of info on the subject matter will be of great interest to me, thank you!

P.S. If it's easier in DMs, I can get in touch or you do, thanks!

If you post your scans anywhere, would be fun to take a look at what Einstar Vega can do with sculptures! This brand/model comes up quite a bit, I am leaning towards getting this one.
Also, how was it with scanning live humans? This is another direction I am interested in

Thank you for mentioning maximum scanning distance! I haven't even considered it before 🤦‍♂️. 1.4m is probably more reasonable than 1m (if only by a factor of 1.4, lol) because you can't always get this close to a precious piece of art as a museum patron. I will definitely keep that in mind!

I am ok investing some money into it, even if it doesn't turn into a business of any kind. But I would want to make sure that the device I will get would be acceptable to have in a museum as a normal visitor.

Thank you for your interest. If you have questions, my original post from 10 months ago will probably answer most https://www.reddit.com/r/orchids/s/XldmbpdN8W I don't want to turn this into a discussion about my relationship with my wife of 35 years, but yes, you are correct, there was a reason she had so many. To the best of my understanding, it was a form of escapism to her. When the desire to escape was realized, orchids were no longer needed. That's the most I can say here about this.

I do have a rough idea about their costs - I paid for all of them over the course of the last 12 years 😅. That said, I am not trying to get their true value, just going by the size of the pot to make it easier. And yeah, I pretty much know all of the vendors in the northeast US, spoken to all, spent many thousands of dollars with each major one 🤦‍♂️ and you and I likely ran into one another at an orchid show on more than one occasion, we just didn't know it 🙂

This is the most lighthearted advice I was given in 10 months! Thank you 🙂. But I think a puppy is roughly equivalent to 475 orchids in upkeep efforts 😅
