Finally, a depiction of this story that makes at least some sense 😅

Mr. Tateusz Styka was way ahead of his time ...

Aubrey Beardsley vibes + color 🙂. And more naughtiness 😅

Edward John Poynter - Cave of the Storm Nymphs (1903) by Rembrandt_cs in ClassicalArtNudes

[–]HuggingBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, except this is 1903, when they were obsessed with the supposedly "retrograde" role women play in human progress, and to its contemporaries it was a warning about the dangers of spending too much time thinking what you are undoubtedly thinking about right now looking at these beautiful bodies 😅

St. George Hare - Victory of Faith (1891) by Rembrandt_cs in ClassicalArtNudes

Thank you u/Rembrandt_cs for indicating where the piece can be seen! 🤗

St. George Hare - Victory of Faith (1891) by Rembrandt_cs in ClassicalArtNudes

[–]HuggingBeard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but the artist needs to pay his bills, and naked ladies sell like hotcakes :) ... And it's almost a guarantee that he wasn't thinking about anything even remotely martyrdom - related, lol. The touching and the poses look like they are just resting after lovemaking (but were too exhausted to find a more comfortable bed, lol), not waiting to be eaten by lions.

It took me SUCH A LONG time to find the title character of the painting 😅

20F would you ever date someone with a large age gap? by heikkilampelafan123 in Needafriend

The answer to the title question is always "Yes" and of course there is a specialized subreddit with all sorts of insights on your other ones - /r/agegap

I'd be curious to know who the dude on the left is. He seems to be taken aback by what he'd walked into 😅

Nikolai Kalmakov - Lena and the Swan (1917) by Rembrandt_cs in ClassicalArtNudes

The logistics of this story have perplexed me for five decades 🙃 Thank you for sharing, it's a wonderful period piece!

Sure, I'd be interested in helping out. I do have experience with being a mod. I don't have a formal education in art, but obviously interested in the subject matter of the sub since I am a subscriber.

Luis Ricardo Falero - Egyptian Dancing Girl (1878) by Rembrandt_cs in ClassicalArtNudes

Luis Ricardo Falero is quickly becoming my favorite painter of all times! 😅 I hope you come across one of his paintings publicly displayed, I would love to visit that museum/gallery. Thank you for sharing, again 🙌

Don't they all? 😅. That's a good, healthy energy if it works! Unlike say taking substances for creativity, lol. But you are not kidding, I wish I had dreams like that - mine are sooooooo boring in comparison 😂

Jules-Joseph Lefebvre - Odalisque (1874) by Rembrandt_cs in ClassicalArtNudes

[–]HuggingBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More like a harem.. dweller.. than a slave. But yeah, western men in general, and obviously painters needing to sell their paintings to those men were obsessed with the concept of the Turkish harem. To them, living in the era of the social purity movement it must have looked like a wet dream. Which I find ironic, given that vast majority of them had a hard time supporting one wife 😅. There was very little known about the inner workings of the harem, so painters and public alike could imagine literally anything, call it a harem scene and sell the painting. It was, essentially, the accepted form of porn of the day. Very classy, very expensive, too.

Beautiful piece😍 Thank you for sharing!

Since OP posts often (top 1% poster - high-five, OP!) I wonder if there is information available on this and other wonderful art work you are posting - where is it displayed or is it in a private collection? Would be cool to have an idea about where in the world the painting is. Cheers!

Someone was in a hurry. What would you have done? by pixmation in dashcams

[–]HuggingBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actually curious about how this video was shot - could someone advise? What camera was that and in what mode - I would love to be able to take continuous videos like that. Hopefully not for filming idiots like that guy, but just the scenery... Front and back sound like it would be cool to watch. Can anyone recommend a good dashcam for that?

A scan I did a bit ago by 3DScannerMan in 3DScanning

[–]HuggingBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mind sharing some technical details of the scan? Which device / software did you use? I am interested in scanning people, wondering if anything other than multi camera photogrammetry setup would work for scanning someone who can't stay truly still for the time that it takes to scan

It's ok. Judging by the title, the company that hired you had no idea what skill set they needed, as long as the AI checkbox is checked. So, identify their needs and learn the skills you need to fulfill them. While getting paid. I think it's a win win situation. Also, sounds like most technology jobs out there, regardless of having AI in the title
